If you own a Subaru you already know how “moody” they can be and if you live in the Bay Area and don’t know about this gem of a shop ? called RBMS you should!!! Winston and Mert are Subaru Scientists!!! They know the ins and outs of these vehicles and how to make them perform better than factory! My head gaskets needed work on my Foz that is built for occasional off-roading. These two perfectionists went to work and rebuilt the engine for me and I couldn’t be happier. They are super meticulous and detail oriented. My Subie runs better than ever right now and I’m looking forward to many more years and adventures!!!! I love this shop! They're honest, knowledgeable, reliable and fair. Winston worked on my timing belt, break lines and more. Winston constantly updates me on my car. Hands down the best shop I've been to.

I was referred to RBMS by Mike after GST closed down, and boy am I glad to have connected with them.Winston and Mert are two top notch guys, with both the mechanical expertise and knowledge to work on my Subaru WRX, as well as having the professional and courteous attitude to interact with customers. I had a long-standing CEL (the dreaded P0442 leak) and it was coming up on smog time. Winston took me in, got the parts in ready for smog time, and tried to finally diagnose out the P0442. Though the process was more convoluted than expected, they have gotten me and my car back to the right spot. CEL free and all emissions lights off, so she is running back to full power and efficiency--I'm so happy to have my baby back!Thanks so much Winston and Mert, you've earned another loyal client!

The crew here are great mechanics and have a vast history of knowledge especially working on Subarus. Communication is fantastic with updates along the way and they offer other ideas to help save money in the long run. Completely trust them with my car.

If you have a Subie or an EVO, then this is the place to go to in the East Bay. They also work on other cars; however, Subaru's and Mitsubishi's is their specialty.

These guys are the best! If you have a Subaru .. take it here. So far they have helped my with a Forester (engine rebuild) and a Saab 92-x .. Top notch work on both!

Time will tell how the work holds up but these guys lived up to the reputation I saw of having great Yelp reviews. I shopped around since my Timing Belt is due on my 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5i (non-turbo) with 107,000 miles. When I drove in to get a quote, Mert answered all my questions. I saw they had a lot of Subarus in their lot and one being worked on. They beat Oakland Subaru's quote by $1000 ! Plus, I would be getting a new radiator, hoses and coolant on top of the Timing Belt, Tensioner and Water Pump. When I dropped off my car, Winston said it would be ready the next day. They called me to inform the price of the radiator went up a little bit than originally quoted to see if I wanted to proceed. I understood and agreed to proceed since the radiator gets pulled already to perform the Timing Belt work, plus I don't want the radiator failing on some long road trips I will be planning to drive in the near future. Later that same day they called me that my car was finished! They stayed a few extra minutes passed closing so I could pick it up same day. Professional attitude from both Mert and Winston. Had nice talks about other Subarus, Mitsubishi Lancers/EVOs and their rare Altezza wagon parked in front.

Mert was excellent! He was patient and provided clear options, not to mention the price was honest and hard to beat. I completed my 105k tune up which included timing belt, water pump, etc ; couldn't be happier using RBMS. You don't need to look any further :)Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great service. Mert and Winston communicate really well, always up to date with work, with pictures of part that needs repair or replacement. They are very knowledgeable and I trust their work.
