Overall great gym, workouts on weekday evenings can take some extra time due to waiting on benches or weights. I would recommend trying to get in as early as possible.

LOVE this Planet Fitness. So Far…THE BEST location. Showers and lockers room are very clean and cleaned often. They provide soap in the shower (which smells marvelous!), and spray to spray down the shower before and afterwards. The equipment is all new and clean, and the atmosphere is really good. Everyone in here seems SO nice & respectful. If you have any questions at all, just see Cecilia or Jenna! And on the weekends…Jasmine has ALWAYS got a big smile just waiting for you! THE NICEST LADIES on THIS Planet! They can help with anything (even if u just need a smile!). It’s just a different “vibe” from the other locations. And they have Grape Tootsie Rolls! Gotta Love those! We go here EVERY DAY…for a reason!!!

This is great place and mostly clean equipment. All staff here is very nice and always smiling. Good crowed and still you will get your turn quickly on your equipment. Has moslty evetything that you would need for your daily Gym.

“Great Value and Atmosphere at Planet Fitness Southland Mall”I’ve had a fantastic experience at Planet Fitness, located at the back of Southland Mall, right next to the movie theater. The ample parking, welcoming atmosphere, and the positive culture of everyone cleaning up after themselves make this gym stand out. The staff is consistently friendly and kind, contributing to the overall positive environment.My partner and I upgraded our package to enjoy perks like the massage chair, which has become a post-workout favorite for us. While the gym may lack heavyweight options, it has everything necessary for a basic workout. The community spirit is evident in everyone pitching in to maintain cleanliness.Though there are some amenities missing, such as a punching bag, sauna room, and swimming pool, the gym compensates with well-equipped changing rooms, showers, and locker facilities. If you’re in the area and in need of a quick workout with a variety of gym equipment (excluding free squat weights), this place fits the bill perfectly.Despite the absence of certain extras like a sauna or swimming pool, the gym is a great fit for those seeking a basic workout without additional frills. For the price paid, it offers excellent value. I highly recommend Planet Fitness Southland Mall to individuals looking for a straightforward and affordable fitness option, especially if weightlifting and cardio are your primary focus.

I really enjoy exercising here. Only negative part is people who occupy machines that workout their thumbs on their phones more than the machines! I literally watched some one sit on a machine for 10 minutes just to do 3 reps before getting back on their phone!??

Canceling my Planet Fitness subscription proved quite frustrating. They demanded an in-person visit, even after telling them that I moved out of city. They could've verified my details over the phone . Requiring a handwritten signature in an email felt outdated for 2023. Contacting your bank to block their subscription would be faster than following their cancelation policy for me. On 10/23/2023 at approximately 8:30 pm, I was parked almost directly in front of the gym. As I sat in my car someone broke the back passenger window and attempted to steal items from my car. I startled them by yelling at them and honking the horn. They casually walked to their vehicle and drove away. This is while I observed security patrolling the parking lot. Criminals don’t seem to care if you are in your car anymore. Stay away from this area and this gym.

Cell Signal is super weak. But of a cave , long stairway, lockers are unique, many long locks simple won't fit in. Massage chairs are great.

Meets my handicapped needs perfectly. They have an elevator for those with mobility issues and the interior is spacious enough for a wheelchair user and no one judges. Or at least no one has offered unsolicited advice that i have seen.

Huge gym, one of the largest gyms in terms of sq footage so the crowd gets scattered. But otherwise like any other planet fitness gyms and machines.

I really wish they had a sauna.. But this gym has pretty much all the basics which is important when your just trying to gym and go home. Ive never had any problems here, never have to wait for equipment. Mid mornings are a great time to hit this location because its not that busy.

Worst gym etiquette I have ever seen. Too crowded. Gym is located in the basement of an abandoned shopping mall. Gym is well equipped, however it is often ridiculously overcrowded. Lots of kids and young adults playing on their phones and or hanging out while occupying gym equipment for extended periods of time. This place is often too crowded to get the most optimal work out but it doesn't mean you can't get a decent one in, just probably not the one you were planning to do. Staff generally hang out at the front with the exception of a few that are tasked with wiping down the equipment. They do a good job of keeping the place clean, however.
