the lady who working at salon who does terrible customer service and she look down customer also even i said, i dont want to talk with you anymore but she kept pushing talk to me and she said , i will be your stylist ! so i told her please change stylist then she said, nothing other stylist also she asked me to do you want cancel your apointment? unbelievable, what a terrible

The lady working the register, only refered to as lady do to being female, was the rudest most condescending person I've come into contact with I quite some time! I don't think she should work with the public, period! There is no reason to treat anyone with such dismissal and a holier-than-thou persona. I will not be going back nor would I recommend this particular stylist.. she's of medium length blonde hair with 2 tone blue, mousie features, smaller build, and fever blisters! Sorry, not sorry! There are good stylist there but she definitely falls short in civility and basic human decency, as I my as well have short comings, but truths will be told, period!

Completely unprofessional business practices. I scheduled an appointment a month in advance using online appointment scheduling, and not only did the online portal offer and let me schedule a time when apparently the store is not yet open (10:30am on a Thursday), when I walked into the store at 11am, after waiting outside until the store actually opened, I was informed that salon was not open due to the heating going out the day prior. The issue...no one bothered to call me to let me know. Remember....I booked my appointment a month in advance! Absolutely no excuse. I should be compensated for my time and gas...I live 45 mins from Hayward.

Showed up for my appointment at noon today when I checked in the girl that was suppose to do my hair called in sick never got a email or message that she was not going to be there no one else was there to get my hair do had to give 1 star just to right this review take it back and give 0 stars poor place to do business with we I’ll never never ever go there again

Very Bad Experience. Never going over there. I don’t know the name of the lady but she did shampoo on my hair and wet my whole Tee shirt and cut my hair wrong way ( in less than 5 minutes) and it was so frustrating that she didn’t blow dry my hair and when I asked for it she said no we don’t do it? They were trying to make me pay for tip.Service: Haircut

jc penny Beauty Salon, Manager, Chris Plummer, Hayward CA. One Star is too much. I made an appointment for 2:30. 11/16/2022 with Nanette for hair cut and basic perm expecting to leave with soft curled and styled hair. This should not have cost me $158.00 and 4,1/2 hours and the first time 20% new customer discount was not available. Nanette said she had been at the Hayward store for many years. I expected her to know more. My hair was permed and blown dry and then flat ironed I requested a curling iron. She said we don't use those any more and continued with the flat iron. I am a little old white, grey haired lady of 81 years and expect to have a perm and hair cut every 3 months or so with soft curls which seems appropriate for my age group. I do not expect to leave a salon with a flat straight hairstyle after being permed. It was already flat and straight with very little curl when I came in. So it looked approximately the same no curls and little bit shorter when I left. The menu on your web site needs to be more specific as to what is included with the perm and hair cut pkg. The appointment took 4 1/2 hours, It was about 7.00 pm when I left. I usually get a hair cut and perm in 2 1/2 to 3 hours. My previous stylist has retired. After a lot of my objections approx. 15 min or so the final price was 128.00 and she agreed to use the non existing curling iron. My hair is somewhat flat with very little curl. Of course I did not leave a tip. She offered to redo free wash and set for the next time I come in. There was only a couple of employees and a very few customers, not busy at all on a Wednesday afternoon. 7 ooclock with designer or sr. designer, new clients only. *20% off any glossing service of $3 0 or more with a Designer or Sr. Designer at JCPenney Salon or The Salon by InStyle, excluding taxes, valid 11/1/22-11/30/22. I accidentally found this salon. I never knew JC Penny had an actual hair salon. I am happy with the outcome. Althea helped me. She took her time and made sure to protect my hair as she was working on it. I hadn't gotten my hair done in over a year because of the nightmare I went through with the last place I went to. I left the salon with highlights and my hair did not feel like a stack of hay.

accidentally found here, after returned a item @JC Penny 3rd floor, i was pointed here by the return counter after I asked for help of hair products...walk in with Christopher P. (salon manager) smiled to me, professional, knowledgeable also friendly, with he's recommendations i was able to find the hair products for my 90 years old mom, also happy knowing where to get our future supplies, yes i 100% recommended Christopher and this Salon.

What is up with the prices? I paid 170 just for a damn flat iron and a trim. Come on now. There are shops in downtown hayward. I recommend my sistas to do their search and avoid this place
