I purchased a yellow dress (XXL, item code 1275780) from the H&M store at Southland Mall in Hayward, California on April 26, 2025. After returning home to Canada and unpacking the item, I discovered three noticeable tears in the fabric.
This is extremely disappointing as the dress was brand new and purchased directly from your store. It clearly seems to be a quality control issue, as the damage was present before wearing it.
Since I live in Canada, returning the dress in person is not possible. I paid full price ($17.99 USD) and expected a product in wearable condition. I’ve attached pictures showing the extent of the damage for your reference.
I hope H&M will take this issue seriously and offer a resolution for international customers who receive defective items and cannot visit the store again for a return.
