I have worked in the City of Hayward for over 25 years. I think I've been to this Valero station about 15-20 times. It's not the best place to get gas. Prices are usually a bit jacked up due to it's location near Hwy 92. At night, it's dark, dirty and you feel a little unsafe. But the big negative about this station is when "pay at the pump" doesn't work. Because depending on who's working inside the snack shop, will decide the level of weirdness you might experience. If you have to pay inside, they will probably tell you to pay upfront (even with credit). So I said $35, and he said that's not enough. After awhile, that Chevron across the street looks alot better. So if "pay at the pump" doesn't work, get in your car and leave. There's a Valero at Hesperian Blvd x A Street that boasts "cheapest" gas in Hayward.

Horrible customer service. I have never come across someone so rude and unprofessional. I came to this gas station July 14, 2022 about 4:15-4:30pm. I spoke because I'm polite and courteous to everyone. (We're all humans no matter our differences). I had won $20 on my scratcher decided to turn it in. Cashier said no 7am to 12 only when boss is here. I said ok. We since I'm here give me $30 on number 8 (I already had gas but was topping it off since I was there). The cashier mumbled loudly cheap I said excuse me he said just keep the card in. I said no thank I canceled it and walked out. I know I'm only one person but you lost a customer.

This gas station is bait and switching their customers, they have an advertise price of 5.95 per gallon at the time of writing this review but when you try to pay for the gas the cashier will state a higher price. If you call him out on it he will not sell you gas to not leave a paper trail. Report this station to the Attorney general to bring attention to the shady practices

It took 30 minutes to fill my car with gas, because the pump was super slow. Right before it stopped the gas started spilling. I had gas all over me and the pump charged me like $20 extra for the spilled gas. I told the employee which I am almost sure is the owner not the employee and he told me to go in the bathroom and wash my hands and proceeded to scold me for saying that I was charged for more gas then my car takes because his pump is not working properly. He knew it was not working properly because he said that it was not because of the gas shortage. Also while I was pumping the gas this same employee was smoking outside super close to the pumps the gas truck that was delivering gas. He then though the cigarette on the floor without a worry.

For all of my smog services this shop is great. Fast and friendly mechanic on duty. Short wait times. They also do other vehicle repairs if needed. Stop by if your vehicle is in need of help.

Once again one of the worst gas stations I've ever been to the man specifically told me he doesn't take change yet there's a coin shortage in America right now and then he wanted to charge me an extra $.50 for using my car and he knows I don't have too much money he didn't charge nobody else $.50 for using their car does that mean I don't never cost problems I go there with the upmost respect yet this man don't know why he chooses to be such an a****** to me told me that I cannot pump gas if it's not more than five dollars these people are so money hungry greedy and disrespectful do not Go to this gas station and don't waste your time these people are a horrible

CALLED IN ON A MONDAY TO GET A SMOG THE TECH SAID TO BRING IT ON WEDNESDAY AT 10AM. TOOK IT IN AND HE SAID TO BRING IT BACK ON FRIDAY BECAUSE HE HAD NO TIME. WHEN I TOLD HIM MY APPOINTMENT WAS FOR 10AM HE THEN TOLD ME THAT OTHER CARS PULLED UP WHICH WERE NON APPOINTMENT AND HE HAS TO GET TO THEIR CARS FIRST. NO HONOR FOR THESE KIND OF MECHANICS AND SMOG TECHS !
