The car I rented had electrical issues and it was not safe for me to drive. I went to Hertz so they can exchange the car and they refuse to do so. They also refused to take the car back. So I’m stuck with paying for every day that I do not drive. The Fremont location is closed on the weekends. This is not the right way to do business. I have given them thousands of dollars of my business and this is how they treat the customers. This is a very shameful company. They have put me and my passengers life in danger by giving me a car that is not properly functional. They are five stars when it comes to collecting the money from the customers But they are zero stars when it comes to doing the right thing and helping the customers. I am very, very disappointed how this was handled.

Please stay away from this store. Worst customer in the whole system. They even don't want to listen or try to understand our situation. What she wants is to hang up as soon as possible.

They didn’t honour our reservation and asked us to pay extra for the only car that was available. We had to make last minute changes to our trip. Very inconvenient and highly dissatisfied.

I rented a Tesla Model 3 from Hertz over the 4th of July weekend and thought I would take it to Lake Tahoe on a 5 day trip to test the preformance and range. OMG! Don't even think about!!! When I picked-up the vehilcle it had 91% charge. I left from Castro Valley that morning at 10:45AM with plenty of time (I thought) to make my concert at 7:00PM. Hertz and the Tesla information provided prior to picking-up car said the range was 260 miles. Well, at Folsom, CA, only 118 miles from my starting point, the car indicated it only had 4% charge remaining. When I finally found a charging station, I quickly discovered there wasn't any adapters in the vehicle, which meant I could only use a Tesla charging station. After many wrong directions from the Mac Book on the dash, I finally found a Tesla station and charged the car to 58% and thought, (mind you, in 109 degree weather) "that should get me to Tahoe," which was only another 70 miles or so. Wrong! 17 miles past Placerville, CA, only 25 miles away from Folsom, CA, the car indicated that I was 5% short to make the final trip. Needless to say, I missed my concert and it took me 8.5 hours to get to Lake Tahe. A trip that would normally take 3.5 hours.After several calls to Hertz regarding exchanging the vehicle for a gas car, and burning up 3 days of my vacation, I finally drove the car to Reno airport , 1.5 hours away, to excharge. After many calls and promises, Hertz never sent the gift card they promised me for my trouble and inconvenience. When I called them to follow-up on the gift card a month later, they referred me to the manager of the Hayward store where I rented the vehicle, before they would send anything. They should have told me that initially instead of giving me the run around. I'm sure they do that so you'll eventually give up. Moral of the story... Don't rent from Hertz and don't buy or rent a Tesla. Total garbage rating for both!!!

Helped us when our car rental at Oakland airport had delays. They offered us an SUV when we were disappointed with the size of their Sedan. We were in and out quick and the customer service was on point.

If I can leave this place bad review and somehow contact there management, this place sucks balls . I got my birthday arrangements all screwed due to missed out information for my rental . When I got there I got told I needed a credit card to withhold the amount of my rental, I got charged and paid already for my rental online . But on arrival I needed a new credit card and other documents. This place is garbage. After 3 weeks I get charge for the rental again? I never even was able to get a car from hertz .

Great customer service although not a huge selection of cars & not open on Sundays. We've been using this Hertz for years as it's quicker than picking up at OAK airport. On my most recent rental there were gas powered cars left, only electric. I was driving 5 hours to No Cal, very anxious about charging. Customer service person was very helpful in finding me a gas car. Apparently, electric cars is Hertz' future. I'm forewarned now.

Great rental experience with outstanding customer service from Hiwot and Winston. Absolutely would rent from here again thanks to them and their support. Thank you, Hiwot and Winston!Pro-tip: Renting from these smaller branches are cheaper than renting from airport branches since there are less fees. The tradeoff is that the selection and hours aren't as great as the airport sites, but if you can plan ahead, you can probably get a much better deal renting from the smaller branch. For my rental, I saved ~$70+.

Worst experience ever. Customer service there are extremely rude. Hidden charges on the invoice and they couldn’t explain. Real bad. Everyone should avoid this business.
