How ironic that I take my car to this shop and the same thing happened to me that other people have went through!!! Complete lies and will not take accountability on the damages that they made on your vehicle! Came to do a job on my car and they ended up scratching my car and damaged some components on the car as well. If you do take your car here good luck and take pictures of your vehicle and fully inspect it before after for any thing they do. They are going to argue with you and lie to you saying that how the vehicle was and there is nothing they can do about it. Will never be going to this auto shop ever again and they should be taken out of business.

This is the only place I choose to bring my vehicles. Friendly, honest people with honest prices and a full commitment to get the job done in a very timely manner. I have been coming to this location ever since they switched to the new management. If you have an older vehicle that needs restoration or even a newer vehicle that needs complex work done, this is the place to be. Always have competitive prices compared to anywhere else and the price they charge is always the price agreed upon over the phone. Very hard to find honest mechanics with integrity nowadays especially given today's high labor rates, but the team that works here always go above and beyond to get the job done. If any problems do arise even after installation, they stand behind their work and honor their warranty. I am not being paid or sponsored to write this review I'm doing it out of love for the team that works here. 5 stars!

The owner of this establishment "Muhammed" is a complete joke. He sold us a car that from the looks of it seemed to be in fine conditions not to mention it's attractive low miles of 134,000. It did show some of its battles scars from being around for 18 years but that was no big issue, so I get in to test drive it and it felt fine although it was only residential roads It drove fantastic. Little did I know this is where the nightmare began, I noticed the radio wasn't working but I ignored it as an aftermarket radio would surely and effectively fix it so I thought. 10 mins later my test drive has concluded and I'm ready to shoot Muhammed an offer, I point out the radio, blad tire, alignment and some body damage so before I could even get my 5.5k offer out my mouth he yells and screams NOT EVEN 50 DOLLARS... NOT EVEN 50 DOLLARS. I start to sweat I could feel his words echo through my heart and wallet but I continue Through his not even 50 dollar remarks. I regain my footing and lay down my stand and demand 5.5 again he spurs out thoes soul piercing words "NoT EVEN 50 DOLLARS" he seems even more agitated. A single tear drop falls from my eye but I wipe and continue, my fears and my wallets fears seem to be coming true as he won't I repeat WONT LOWER HIS PRICE and so we pay the 6k he asked and continued part 2 coming...

Drivers Beware!!! My friends and I are good at fixing our own cars, we know a lot. We can't always do our own repairs if a special tool is needed. I took my Chevy light truck/suv here to get a weird sound checked out. This place told me I needed new rear wheel bearings and two new rear axels. They told me a bracket was broken but I was just under the car the day before examining the rear suspension. I didn't trust their assessment so drove all the way to Oakland to a mechanic I trusted. The Oakland mechanic said definitely not a bearing noise. After we talked we made the connection that the noise started after I put on a roof rack! On the drive back to East Bay Auto Center I waited for the noise to happen and put my hand firmly on the front of the roof rack (not even close to rear wheels...) and the sound immediately stopped. I did this dozens of times to be sure. I arrived at East Bay Auto Center and thanked them for the transmission and differential fluid changes they did. Then informed them of their very incorrect diagnosis. They kept telling me it was the rear bearings/axels/broken bracket. They did not return my money. I told them it was the roof rack and that I confirmed it. On the way home I again confirmed it was the roof rack. When I got home I still didn't believe there was a broken bracket because I checked it myself. Again, I looked under the rear sway bar and no brackets were broken or even loose! Do not go here. They are not to be trusted when telling you what needs to be done. They will lie to get more business. I'm out $120 for nothing. They wanted me to spend $700 on repairs I didn't need. This review from a knowledgeable intermediate mechanic will cost them way more than if they had simply refunded me after catching their lies/incompetence. It's well worth driving to AutoMechs in Oakland, which is a very honest and sincere mechanic. I'm moving to another state and wish I could still take my car to AutoMechs. It's rare to say I will miss my mechanic. Do not go East Bay Auto Center. Liars. Only go here for simple stuff if you dare. Either they are deliberately lying to me or are extremely incompetent. Either is bad when working on machines that people trust with their lives. They weren't even close. The sound was from the top front of the roof rack. They said it was the bottom rear of the vehicle! Holy moly!
