Chipman really saved us and was a wonderful moving partner. When alternative move plans got a little more unreliable closer to the date, we reached out to Chipman and they got back to us immediately. It was so easy to coordinate with their whole team. They provided direct points of contact for us to work with and reassured us every step of the way. Moving is already such a stressful life event but I can safely say that our move would have never gone as smooth as it had without the help of Chipman. We would definitely love to use their services again in the future!

Goods were delivered on time and most of it was undamaged, but there was more breakage than I expected. This may be normal for a move by semi truck. The driver's first priority was packing the truck as tightly as possible, his second priority was minimizing the loading and unloading work, and his last priority was protecting the goods.Among my household goods were 30 plastic totes. I told the driver they could not be stacked more than 3 high without crushing the ones on the bottom when the truck goes over a bump, and he told me he would have to stack them to the ceiling of the 9 foot trailer. He did, and 8 of them did break. One broke so badly he didn't even return the pieces; I know that only because I asked him about the strange cardboard box with which he had replaced it. I suggested he secure some of the totes in the racks that he was also moving, but he chose not to.Even the standard cardboard moving boxes at the bottom of the load got crushed, and apparently caused some items to fall on top of other ones and damage them.Had the estimator told me my goods could not be moved safely in a semi, I would have chosen another mode of transportation. I assumed they had some system for loading household goods other than just piling them 9 feet high.The value of the breakage was less than $300 (cheaper than the insurance would have been), so by that measure it wasn't that big a deal.

Jamie and Scott were awesome and Mark and his crew we solid with both pickup and delivery. I definitely felt like we were in good hands in the run up to, and during the move. They were way more responsive than I could have hoped for and after getting multiple quotes am very glad we went with Chipman. As with anything, there were a couple hurdles and Jamie immediately handled it and made sure that our family was taken care of. I hope we don't have to move again for a long time but if we do, I'll reach out to them first. Money well spent.

Our move from California to Vermont went incredibly smoothly thanks to Jennifer Johnson and the team at Chipman. The virtual assessment was easy and in the end they even helped us get everything into two containers to save us the cost of the third! Everything arrived at our destination right on schedule and the small team at the Vermont end was very pleasant. There was no damage to any of our stuff, which was an especially lovely surprise. Highly recommend Chipman to anyone looking to do a long-distance move!

Jennifer Johnson and Chipman were the people in my cross-country move who I would happily work with again! Jennifer stayed on top of so many details and advocated for me multiple times when the national moving company I hired screwed up/weren't meeting obligations throughout the process. Jennifer liaised with the packers (a different company) when they weren't following protocol, and when my goods (delivered by a different company) arrived and key items (bed! sofa! more!) arrived unusable, Jennifer advocated for me to get an emergency claim started as well as other logistical solutions that the local moving company had no foresight or interest in helping me with. She escalated on behalf when the national moving company fell short. I was so grateful to be working with Jennifer during a stressful time.

It has been a year since our move and we are still marveling at the ease with which it happened. We moved from the SF Bay Area to eastern Washington. To start, Doris Mansfield who called to schedule the video estimate walkthrough was very pleasant and helpful. Next came Brad Keller, who did the estimate virtually (Covid), was also very helpful, knowledgable and friendly. As time went on and we got rid of things, packed some things, and Covid restrictions let up, he came back to the house to re-do the estimate. We had saved $1000.00 or so between the two estimates. We were assigned to JENNIFER JOHNSON as our Move Coordinator and she was nothing short of amazing! She kept in great touch, answered my never ending questions and responded with patience and grace throughout our move, which was during the pandemic, so everything was off kilter. From timing information to payment, crating some furniture, information about the crew, through to debris removal - everything - she was attentive, professional and friendly. The crew was great - friendly and efficient. Mike led the packing crew, I think Tyrone was another packer, who gave us some tips about the move and did a great job. The young woman who was keeping track of the boxes, contents and furniture was good at her job and friendly as she spent two full days in my house. I don't recall her name, but - At the arrival end, Jason was our driver and arrived on the dot of his ETA. He told me that the young woman (whose name I remembered at the time) was his daughter, and he was clearly quite proud of her! The off loading of the truck went well - it was a hot day in August and the guys kept moving and were patient and friendly. At the end, Bret Souza was the Sr. Claims Adjuster who helped me with our claim. We have moved many times and it is unrealistic to expect absolutely all of your goods to come through absolutely unscathed. The trick is to have an adjuster who listens, understands and gets the job done. We had some minor and medium damage (one of the glass windows in my china cabinet was broken was the biggest thing.) We sent in our claim and received the checks in the mail in no time. The adjuster assigned to my claim was out of the office, so Jennifer connected me to Bret, and he got it done. All in all Chipman Relo did a great job, and most of the credit goes to JENNIFER JOHNSON, who kept us informed and kept track of our goods with patience and professionalism. She followed up with the scheduling of the debris removal and that happened smoothly and in a timely manner as well. Thanks to everyone who made our move way less stressful than it could have been! We recommend Chimpan Relo! P.S. Friends of ours made a similar move and although they had a different Move Coordinator, they spoke highly of the experience with Chipman as well. I think the Move Coordinators at Chipman receive good training.
