I was speaking to an employee about rigging line and He stated that he had no knowledge of rigging line for model ships so I said Thankyou I guess I will try a different company. He proceeded to hang up on me! How rude can you get!!! I called back and spoke to the same exact person and told Him we were disconnected by accident. He told me I wasn't talking to Him I was talking to Woman who has a deep voice and sounds like a Guy! It was the same person. I recognized His voice and he continued to tell me it wasn't Him. So I said OK....Let me talk to the Lady I spoke to? Sorry She's not here. "It sounded like a Abbott & Costello routine" I spent well over $1,300 dollars in that store and I'm shocked by the unprofessional attitudes of there workers. I will never use them again!

If you like building wood model boats...like being able to see just about every building supply, brass accessories...kits...this is heaven on earth. I've been around a long time and can say...Age of Sails is by far the best stocked...huge inventory..and...super helpful people place in the planet. I'm dropping of line with my hobbies and dealing with them direct..just a drive over the hill for me. On line as well..they can't be beat.

The hobby tool selection is the best in the bay area.I thought. I was looking for a small ball peen hammer and you guys had something smaller that worked better for my model building non hobby projects.

Very cute shop with tons of model ships and sorts to handcraft and build. There is also a huge wall full of replacement parts or specific fittings for personalizing your model boats. Every box is organized neatly on shelves and people are friendly. Staff are knowledgeable about different types of models and the origin of parts/models. Definitely worth checking out this place because of their wide selection. There are not only boats but many many different build-to-display pieces. Parking is available in lot. Recommend!

A great company that is dedicated to ship modeling. It is providing the modeler with ship model kits that have never been available before in the United States. It allows us to replace parts that are bad and to get additional items from sources that have not been available before to the avid ship modeler. The completeness of this one stop superstore exceeds what was available before and give me a source of materials far greater than I have had during the 50 years of my modeling experience.
