“As a local Hawthorne resident, I really like to support local businesses and reached out to SVT Auto Repair Solutions. I was having a problem with my 2016 Chevy Spark LS and was easily able to bring it in by messaging them on Instagram first. Brought it in and was immediately seen. “The only place I'll bring my Prius (if it ever even needs it again) My car was meticulously maintained for the first 200k+ but even with extreme maintenance it still had the head gasket issue around 250k. I had basically stopped doing maintenance at that point and decided to go with a JDM engine. So when my car did actually start misfiring I decided it was time. I went to several JDM importers some of which would do the install some wouldn't. After extensive research I found that the JDM engines were not the perfect fix I thought they were.

A mechanic friend of mine referred me to Hybrid 310. Ricardo and Eric really know these engines well. Long story short I ended up keeping my engine over the JDM option (which they were the best price I found for the swap with a longer warranty than most, 6 months parts and labor)

They also offered a complete rebuild they do in-house and as they say are more confident with the rebuild then they are the JDM. They say (as all JDM installers will tell you) that sometimes they have to come back. On the other hand, rebuilds never come back. It's basically a brand new engine with all new parts 1 year warranty parts and labor.

In my case once they got into the motor they saw that there was no need for the rebuild but I get the idea that's pretty rare. Maybe since I always maintain extra well with more frequent oil changes and did not let the head gasket go too long.

In any case, I am very happy I found them. And would recommend them to anyone. My car runs like new with over 260,000 mi on it.

It's pretty rare these days to find good honest mechanics, but Hybrid 310 is definitely both. Oh, and fast too... Within a couple hours of dropping off they sent a video of my engine coming out. Probably would have been done within 24 hours if it weren't for the weekend.
