I have loved the chain since it was pick'n'save. This store was well kept and workers were nice.

Big clean store, good selection. Lots of discounts and off brands. If you find something you like get a lot of it because it might not be there next time.

Was shopping for a vacuum, when the lady that worked in the back asked if I needed help, I said no thank you, because I had my wife in my headphones. When I finally picked out the vacuum I wanted, I grabbed it, and the worker told me that the vacuums here at big lots are too expensive and that I should go shop at Walmart instead where they are cheaper. I told her no thank you I came to big lots for a reason. I then grabbed the vacuum and walked to the hair gel isle. She followed me to the hair gel isle and asked me if I wanted her to take the vacuum up front while I shopped, I said ok. Another associate pretending to be a shopper then followed me around the store, pretending to be looking for his mother. I grabbed what I needed and headed to the counter, where the fake shopper met me to cash me out. I bought the vacuum and what i needed but wont be coming back again. The whole place is unprofessional. For one don't tell a customer to shop a a competitor because the items are cheaper at the competitor. For 2 if your going to pretend to be a shopper to deter theft don't follow the person to the front, get behind the counterand put your name badge on. Now everyone knows who the security guy is. It felt like a amateur hour. Do better. Treat your customers better.

Big Lots isn't one of my favorite places to shop. I feel the stores are messy and the prices are not the best.

It's chill. The people are helpful. If you know you want grab it. Or just chill and browse around. The staff has always been happy to help.

I usually raid the clearanced food section of BigLots, but God forbid you arrive 5-10 minutes before closing as they will lock the door on you. I'm usually quick in and out, but it took nearly 3 minutes of yelling through the door before they finally let me in to glance over the clearanced items.Lately, the clearanced food selections haven't been great nor the prices. Usually, whoever prices it, used to price it down quite a bit, but lately not so much.

Good selection of items in the store. Prices are comparable to other home goods stores.

The prices are really great at this store, but the customer service is spotty at best. Some of the employees are not well trained, and most are downright sour faced and unfriendly. No eye contact, no smile, and no greeting when you first enter the store is pretty standard there. One young man tried to put a dried flower bouquet in a bag head first and then was putting large items on top of them, before I stopped him. I had to explain to him that those items would crush the flowers, and he just gave me a strange look, and walked away. Also, I had handed him four or five of my own bags, yet he was packing one bag so heavy I wouldn't have been able to lift it. I'm small and 73 years old so you'd think that someone would automatically consider that, but no. When I tried to explain that to him, he just seemed to be confused so someone else came up and rescued me from him. I believe in giving everybody a chance at a job, but don't put somebody at the front who has no people skills or common sense at all. One new employee sold me a piece of furniture from a center aisle clearance area without telling me that I could not return it because it was not their policy to allow returns of anything that was on clearance. Had they told me that I would've gone home and measured my room before buying it, but there had been no sign there stating that and no one had told me that. When I came back with it because it was too big for my room they absolutely refused to refund my money even though I had been shopping there for months, decorating two different houses as well as my own, and had spent a lot, lot, lot of money there. The man who had sold it to me only two days earlier looked me right in the eye and lied and said he hadn't sold it to me. Three other staff members standing by (why?) kept telling me it was their policy not to accept returns from furniture clearances, something which was NOT posted, even then. I don't have a problem with that policy. I have a problem with their being no sign stating that and no one told me that when I bought it. Unfortunately I couldn't find my receipt to prove who sold it to me, and even then he would still have lied, so I'm stuck with a $119 hassock that won't fit in my living room. One other thing is if you try to order something from them online and have it delivered, forget it because it'll cost nearly as much in delivery charges as the actual item you're ordering. It's too bad they can't hire better people because it's really a reasonable place to shop with a lot of merchandise to choose from at really good prices. PS: there are two women working there who are friendly and helpful and great at their job, and I consider myself lucky when I see them at the register when I go there. I wish I could remember your names, ladies because you have been terrific.
