Kibbles 'n Gifts
80 Cabrillo Hwy N B, Half Moon BayGenerally good selection of pet food, toys, and accessories. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only reason that I'm giving them 4 stars is because their website indicated they had a product, but it wasn't available when I arrived at the store. I suggest you call ahead to confirm if you want to order online or are using their website to check for products.

Half Moon Bay Dog Sports- *Appointment only*
12000 San Mateo Rd, Half Moon BayWe have 3 Australian Shepherds. We’ve been to a few agility facilities throughout the Bay Area, and Half Moon Bay Dog Sports is by far the best. We love our instructor who explains concepts and skills so that I understand it, is very personable, and my girl loves being on the course! She’s always so excited whenever we pull up for lessons, her confidence has grown tremendously, and it helps us channel her anxiety. The facility is located on a farm, and they have 2 sizable fields (turf and grass). The fields and equipment are well maintained and you can rent the fields any day of the week. With this in mind, parking is challenging on the best of days.

Jettywave Distillery
155 Broadway, Half Moon BayWhat a fantastic experience near Half Moon Bay. Everything from the setting to food to cocktails was exceptional. Given the great climate, we sat outside with our dog but plenty of seating that is covered in the back or inside the tasting room. With all of that said, the food was maybe better than the cocktails. Fresh, flavorful and healthy!!

Hop Dogma Brewing Co.
270 Capistrano Rd #22, Half Moon BayTwo of the three beers were pretty good! I liked my sour a lot. This place is right on the water and across from a Peruvian place. The atmosphere is great with really nice indoor and outdoor seating. They had a band playing bluegrass inside that was SO great! We would absolutely come back here.

OceanCiders
2 Pillar Point Harbor Blvd, Half Moon BayThis was our second visit to this charming cider spot, and it certainly won't be our last. Nestled right on the marina, the location is absolutely perfect, offering stunning views and a variety of comfortable seating options. They even have dog treats for the furry friends, which is such a thoughtful touch. The selection of ciders is impressive, with so many delicious options to choose from. This time, they had a food vendor on-site, which was a nice addition--although I do wish there were gluten-free options. But no complaints here; we still enjoyed every minute. There was also a live band playing, adding to the wonderful atmosphere. We originally planned to stay for just one cider but ended up having three! The sun was out, and it was a beautiful day to just relax and enjoy. The owners are incredibly friendly, and you can tell they're passionate about their business. I love that they're two best friends running the place together--it adds a personal touch that makes the experience even more special. If you're in the Half Moon Bay area and love cider, or just want a cute spot to unwind, this is the place to be. Cheers!

Cafe Capistrano
523 Church St, Half Moon BayFood was amazing! We ate the entire thing because it was so delicious! The restaurant is in what looks to be a home and so it is small and quaint which may not suit everyone's idea of dining but we liked the cozy feel to it. From the reviews complaining about the waiter we were a bit cautious, but he was very respectful and kind. He's not that bubbly in your face customer service kind of waiter and that suits us just fine. We even gave him an extra tip for explaining the sauces to my father. Overall we had a really great experience with delicious food and kind and attentive staff and service. We will definitely be back

Vinoteca
330 Main St #105, Half Moon BayWe came here, because the fog was too thick to see the sunset at half moon bay. Pleasantly surprised by the relaxed ambiance, friendly staff, delicious Mediterranean plate, and very tasty white wine flight. The prices are very reasonable. Total bill was $33 before tax and tip. 151 Harvard Ave, Half Moon BayThis winery gets 5 stars for being a unique, worth it experience.
Might cater more to people who know wine well.

Evangeline Cuisine
225 Cabrillo Hwy S #102 C, Half Moon BayVery cute and cozy little restaurant, and the food is sooo good! We got the crab and carrot stuffed peppers, grilled shrimp and paella. Everything was amazing.
Seafood tasted fresh and kudos to the chef for the great and well balanced flavors. Small detail but the fried garlic in the shrimp appetizer was perfectly fried and soooo good.
Great service, and overall nice homey vibe to the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Pilot Light
9850 Cabrillo Hwy, Half Moon BayHeaded to the pier to buy fresh seafood on a Sat. An excuse to have breakfast along the coast. This place is not too crowded, has a homey feel to this place. Latte and Mocha were robust with double shot espresso, and felt the effects all day long. Dutch baby - fluffy huge pancake with fruits and syrup. I have made this at home but need to eat fresh out of the oven. Not too many places offer this dish so it was literally a treat to have it. Enjoyed it so much. Eggs benedict - upgraded it to smoke salmon, everything about it was perfect.

Dad's Luncheonette
225 Cabrillo Highway South at, Kelly Ave, Half Moon BayTasty, unique burger sandwich served out of a delightfully quirky train car restaurant. Sandwich was good - an interesting twist on the ordinary, though not a life changing burger (eg I wouldn't drive out a long way just to try it). A little small for the price, bread seemed like sandwich sponge bread and a bit squishy/under-toasted - if I were to recreate it at home, I'd use a thicker sliced, more robust levain toast or something, maybe cook the patty medium rather than medium-well. Still, flavors worked well together. Definitely worth a stop if you're already coming into HMB. Long line on a Sunday lunch but moved pretty quickly. Would return to try the mushroom sandwich and herb salad.
