I come to California 4 times a year to spend time with my son. This time he really wanted to go fishing with me. I called Mooch Better Fishing and made a reservation 10+ days ahead of time. Last night (less than 2 days before the trip), the captain called me up and cancelled us.He said when I made the reservation, he was on vacation and the person who helped with my booking didn't enter my trip into the system. Therefore, we had to be cancelled.I cannot imagine we were the last to book the trip 10+ days ahead of time. So it must be the case that we were picked for some other reasons. I am very disappointed with how the captain handled the situation.If Mooch Better Fishing could inform me earlier, it would give me much more flexibility. To their credit, the captain did try to book me with another boat. But it is not something I cannot do myself with a few Google searches.

We went on Captain Duane's boat last Friday. Both Captain Pablo and Captain Duane were helping us fish. Yes we were spoiled by them. We had an amazing time and caught over 60 fish. It was non stop fishing fun. We highly recommend Captain Duane and Captain Pablo. They filet all the fish beautifully. One of my fishing friends owns Roma in Menlo Park and we took all the fish there and had a dinner for family and friends which was also amazing.Thank you Captain Duane and Captain Pablo!

Booked this charter for my daughter to experience and the Captain and crew went out of their way to make it one of the best times she has ever had. They were professional, organized, knowledgeable and patient while taking the time to teach her and share their expertise along with fun stories. These guys are real down to earth people, the kind when your trip is over you don’t think of them as a business, but as a friend. If you want to catch fish and have fun while doing it, this the boat to book. Thank you Mooch Better for an unforgettable trip.

Great day out fishing for King Salmon with a fun, expert team. The boat hauled in three 20 pounders and five other fish in the 8 to 15 pound range. As a bonus, Captain Duane expertly fileted our fish before sending us home, saving a lot of trial and error at home.

Fabulous, fun and lots of fishing! Captain Dave and Captain Pablo were both patient, kind, gave good instructions and had a hint of comedy about the day. They were professional in demeanor, language and interactions. We moved locations a few times as needed to get on the fish. Would happily use them again for another family fishing trip.

These guys got their fish together! They were on top of it. They put us on the fish and we caught our limit. They were very friendly, outgoing, accommodating and fun guys. Our group highly recommend them to other people and we will definitely go back again. Excellent trip.

Unbelievable experience with these guys. Justin was an amazing deckhand along with all other members of the crew. 25 lb salmon caught right at the half moon bay buoys. Great day and great company. I’m posting this a month late but overall A+ experience

My son and I had an amazing time with Pablo and Justin. Both were friendly and really worked hard to make sure we caught fish, were comfortable, and had a great experience. Caught our limit of cod within a few hours and we then switched to Salmon fishing. They were more excited than us when we got a 20 lbs Salmon onboard! Appreciate their hard work and hustle. We will be back.

Incredible time and crew. Couldn't recommend them more highly. I joined the boat as a single, and we went rock cod. We weren't disappointed. I just came from grilling the fillets for my family of 8, with leftovers to spare. Now the rest of them want to come. We'll be back!

Fished today with Captain Duane and Pablo. Got some Salmon. Happy to be on the water. Boat was clean, safe, and spacious. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Looking forward to the next trip out. Really excellent guys. Highly recommended. And I will back it up with my wallet. Will be booking another King trip soon to fill the freezer.Thanks Duane and Pablo
