This place was amazing! We came here with my small dog for Christmas weekend, and it was the absolute perfect getaway. The room was cozy, clean and very comfortable! The staff here was above and beyond. Our first night Jess was a terrific server and went above and beyond helping us to light a fire pit outside to have drinks by. Patrick, Sophia, Mike, and Wendy were so welcoming and terrific. Our Christmas Eve, dinner was fantastic, the short ribs fell right off the bone. The vegetables were steamed perfectly, and the mashed potatoes needed no seasoning.I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking to escape. We will be coming here a lot in the future.Cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness!

Fantastic lodge, resturant & bar! A gem nestled in the redwoods. Everything is great and they always have fun events going on. Live music, shows, themed cocktails, cozy fireplaces, paint and sip parties, family events, and all of the rooms are beautiful and themed. Food is NOT bar food- it's restaurant quality and the best in the area! The food menu is always changing and offers a verity (which I personally love). Great to see a local family preserve a historic building and bring new life to it.Rooms: Beautiful, clean, themed rooms. Very cozy.Nearby activities: Very close to the Russian River and Downtown Guerneville and Jenner.Safety: In a safe neighborhood.Food & drinks: Beautiful cocktails and delicious food.

I came to this place for the first time ever, last Saturday because i heard one of my favorite dance bands, Salsa Rosa was playing. We walked in, and it was very sweet to see this nice big room with fireplace in corner that you can cozy up to on one of their couches. The band was starting in about 30 min and we wanted to get a drink and a bit to eat. We stood at the bar waiting to be served. The lady gruffly asked if i wanted a menu, Anna i said yes. I asked a question about a drink. ( they have several interesting looking concoctions on their menu) She was so rude, shrugging her shoulders, saying, I don't know, then commenting they're out of ingredients for it. I tried to ask what drink was most popular? Again she shrugs and said i don't know, maybe this or that. But no welcoming attitude, no warmth at all; just cold. I was going to order food too, and she suddenly blurts out, of you guys want to order you gotta stand over there at the cash register! ( 3 feet away, and it was not that crowded)! I was like, In my mind, what did we do wrong to deserve this behavior? I've been to the road house next door many times usually in the summer. So i thought of going there to get food and a drink but they were really packed, way too busy. We decided to leave because not only was she rude, the place was asking a cover fee for the band. I have no problem paying the band, but didn't feel good to pay the place. We told a few people who were expecting we'd come in to see band how rude the lady was and that we needed to go somewhere else to eat. They said, oh too bad she's rude, they're just really busy. But no they were NOT that busy at all compared with the road house, who was also not rude. But we didn't care for Road house music, so we went to Guerneville up the road to the MainStreet grill where there was another descent band playing. We happily ate and drank there, though we would have preferred salsa rosa. Two stars for the cozy fire place. Fix this place up with a much better attitude and my stars may grow in the future if i ever make it over there again.

There's game nights (trivia or bingo) every Thursday, Wednesday is locals night and the funnest karaoke! A great bar with gorgeous cocktails and delicious food served until 10pm!!

you can't beat this place for the price- perfect couples retreat. staff was very attentive, rooms were small but nice, and the hot tub was wonderful and easy to use. the decks are fenced off to be semi-private (very private once you're sitting in the tub), and we didn't have much trouble with noise while we were out there!

We loved staying here for a quick getaway and the room was cozy, well decorated, clean, and had great amenities. We loved the private hot tub (also very clean) and had a beautiful view of the redwoods and walkable to the river. This is a place I would absolutely come back to for a relaxing forest retreat

This place is so beautiful. Location and ambiance ✔️2 minute walk to the water, perfect for launching a small boat.Beautiful decor, delicious food, beer and coffee downstairs. Live music. Great proximity to other points of interest (Korbel, Guernville, Johnson's Beach)The roadhouse was nice, it did lead to a fair bit of noise pollution throughout the night, though I was unbothered by this.We will definitely return.Rooms: Themed rooms. Our room didn't have a/c or a fan, but did have a cute wall heater.Food & drinks: Great selection of canned beer and some hard kombucha. Other beverages as well. Charcuterie makins, snacks available plus food and drink items ordered from the "bar".

We stayed here for a night recently. It was expensive. A couple suggestions for owners. 1. Put a 2-wall L-shape privacy fence around the hot tub in the back. It's already next to a fence, so just add a simple L shaped fence to give it more privacy. Then, one side would be open to see if it's occupied or not. I'm not going to use a hot tub that's completely in view of other guests windows. 2. Put a chair or loveseat in the room. There was all this empty space under the window and the only place to sit in the room was the bed. 3. We did get tired at some point and watched a movie before bed. We had to crank our necks to watch the TV since it was the wall adjacent to the bed, and there was nowhere to sit but the bed. Either don't have a huge TV or add a couch or something that allows you to watch without cranking your neck. It's just weird how big the TV is and then how hard it is to actually use it. 4. The landscaping was very meh/non existent except for the gorgeous redwoods all around. The broken down concrete path was just kind of bland. They might've said that this was under construction, though.

The newly remodeled Rio Nido Lodge is absolutely stunning. The grounds are wonderful and the rooms are terrific. Now the Cafe and Bar are amazing. Not only is the Menu fantastic, the food and service can't be beat. If you are looking for some craft cocktails, great beer and wine, you have come to the right place. The ambience and waitstaff are accommodating, friendly and all around super. Come on over, you will not be disappointed! Events happening all the time such as Taco Tuesdays, Wednesday night Karoke nights, Thursday Trivia nights and soooo much more! Dont miss out on this Jewel! --Elena

Nice area and a beautiful semi quiet serene place. The bed was hard as hay bales, no table inside or chairs to sit at. A big useless couch in the way. No night lights on the side of the bed, no communication with us from office personnel due to our texts. The hot tub was so hot I had to leave the cover off. Was unplugged no communication why? Not worth it at all.

This place was a fantastic little gem tucked away in the forest. A short little trip from just about anywhere in the entire Bay Area. Wish we had found it sooner. Hot tub was clean and room was warm and cozy. Great specialty food and gift items sold inside the lodge. We'll definitely be back again very soon!
