We stayed at the Rhondavous for a week. We were anticipating a nice quite get away from it all, with plenty of time on the river. We payed ALOT for that experience. All of the homes are right on the river and that seems like it will be great, unfortunately, they don't tell you that they are just on the other side of a set of trees that is between them and a busy road. The road is filled with houses jam-packed in there and it is definitely not a quiet time, if that is what you are looking for. All week we had lots of road noise and also Cal Trans working with jack hammers and reverse beeping. They started at 7:30 every morning and went all day. In addition, the owners did not have the boats in working condition and were reluctant to reimburse for them not being in working condition. So, we didn't get the time on the river that we expected either. They reluctantly reimbursed very little in exchange for the boats not being able to be used. In my opinion, the house is not in the condition that it should get the amount they are asking for the rental. The outside is nice. The inside is very average. Stay somewhere else for that amount of money is my advice. Somewhere more secluded and with better amenities and better service. That's just my advice. It wasn't what we had hoped.

Contacted River Homes about an issue with their booking software. Alysa couldn’t be bothered to help. Sent a canned response, didn’t even attempt to assist with the booking. They have inconsistent policies and poor customer service.

Beautiful setting; charming, comfortable and well-maintained houses; responsive management -- absolutely wonderful experience !! My family - all sixteen of us - had a lovely holiday get away together.

This is a great get-away house for an extended family or other large group: a nice big main room, three big bedrooms, one smaller one with a bunk bed, two baths, and a dedicated children’s playroom on the lower level, plus a huge deck with a direct view of the Russian River and a hot tub (my four-year-old grandson said he didn’t want to go home unless we promised to get one there ). It’s only an hour and half or two from SF or the East Bay, and just minutes from “downtown” Guerneville, but it feels quite rural. It’s also pet-friendly (not that common among Airbnb rentals), and if you have an electric car, there’s even an EV charger - provided you pay attention, as I didn’t, to the rule that you have to request access to it a week in advance.
All that said, I have a bunch of gripes I’d want to see addressed before I’d pay all that money to go back:
1) No fair changing the access code on the door an hour before check-out time, just when we were busy carting our stuff to the car!
2) There’s lot of AV equipment, but no instructions, and there really should be, plus labels on the four different remote controls. I’m fairly tech-savvy, but I had a hell of a time trying to set up a movie for the grandkids to watch on the big screen. When I finally got it streaming from Amazon, there was no audio, and I never did manage to solve that problem – the kids had to settle for watching the movie on a laptop.
3) Buy a new can opener! The one we found in the kitchen was bent out of shape, to the point that I couldn’t get it to open my dog’s canned food until I managed to twist it back into semi-working order.
4) While we’re at it, how about adding a coffee-bean grinder?
5) And more cleaning equipment! Considering that it was raining virtually the whole time we were there, we could have kept the house cleaner if there had been a mop as well as a broom. And how about some steel wool or at least Brillo pads, plus Ajax or Bon Ami or equivalent, for the kitchen? The rough side of a two-tone sponge doesn’t always hack it after you’ve baked dinner.
6) Get second trash and recycling bins. The only ones there were already overflowing when we arrived on a Monday, and pickup isn’t until Thursday. We made do by using the bins in front of a house across the street that seemed to be unoccupied, but I don’t know how the owners would have felt about that if they had been there.

I continue to rent the same home in Guerneville, CA. Russian River Vacation homes is the place to rent from when you want to stay in Guerneville. They always have a great selection of top end homes. They respond immediately to any questions that you have. Everyone that I have talked to within the office is extremely professional and Just very nice. Great group of people.

Our stay was very nice. They have a lovely home right by the river. It is warm and comfortable and all my communication with them have been very informative and helpful. I would love to go back and stay in this home again!

we rented a home from this company through VRBO that was filthy with a layer of dust so thick on the fans, base boards, and all the door and cabinet trims AND had an ant infestation and a yellow jacket nest on the inside of the window of the dining room. we were used to the standards of VRBO and had never had a bad experience until working with Russian River Vacation Homes. I would absolutely not rent a home this company manages unless you can inspect the home prior to giving them a deposit and paying.

Our stay at the Zen Retreat was perfect for our family get-together to celebrate Thanksgiving. The property had everything that we needed!Wonderful place to relax and enjoy family time. We saw a few deers strolling nearby a couple of mornings. We hope to return again!

Was okay, quiet little home on old cazadero rd. My only complaint is that the bath tub filled up with nasty water when the upstairs tenants were showering. Other than that, was a okay experience.

We had another wonderful stay at La Rive Gauche on the Russian River. This was our 5th year to stay at this cabin and it has become our home away from home. We just love it there. The location is perfect and the neighborhood cats are just icing on the cake. It is where we meet our children and grandchildren each year. We enjoy the hot tub, kayaking, and all of the other things that we are able to do there. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay there!

We stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't be more please with how clean and comfortable this place is. The location can't be beat, you are close to all of the bars, restaurants, and all that Guerneville has to offer. We pretty much walked everywhere and came home to relax in a nice and quite hot tub in the back. Love everything about this place, so did my doggies as well.

My family and I have vacationed at the Grove for 3 consecutive years in a row. We love the rental and it’s proximity to river access in Monte Rio. We have enjoyed precious times together at the Grove and made memories to keep for a lifetime. The unit is spacious, warm and welcoming.We had a couple small concerns come up during our most recent stay (broken chair, and a something got into our bread supply) but Russian River Vacation Rentals is always responsive and helpful.

I rented the Sunshine Grove cottage for a staycation through Airbnb, managed by Russian River vacation homes. I have never had such a poorly maintained rental experience. The hot tub had brown froth with something that looked like vomit. The advertised fireplace was broken. Since these are highly advertised features, you would think they had been maintained. Instead a large part of our vacation time there was spent with them doing needed maintenance.
