Had an aggressive, confusing, and unhelpful experience with a middle-aged guy working here. He put his hands in my face and was almost threatening me when I tried to explain that I didn’t understand what he meant by floating the river back and forth. Never been here and where I come from, rivers run in one direction. You can’t float them back and forth. But instead of explaining things and being helpful, he was condescending and mean. I left the place without my rental. Anyhow, Mark, a younger and more professional guy, found me on the street and made it right. Feel like I gotta leave the one star because the guy was such a jerk, but Mark sure knows how to handle things well and this place should be grateful for his work.

We rented kayaks in advance and they were efficient and to the point. I like that. They let me change from a tandem to a single earlier on the week which was great. We arrived and they had ms complete paperwork, pay, pick a group name and showed us where to be picked up and what to expect. When we were done we called them for a pick up. Took about 20 min but we didn't call in advance as recommended. We thought we would hang out but too many people. They are a very efficient run business. Very much would recommend them for rentals.

Thank you to Scott at King’s Sport for accommodating me and my boyfriend on his 29th boyfriend. We thoroughly enjoyed kayaking down the Russian River and their team was there to pick us up when it all wrapped up. Such a great experience and I would highly recommend King’s Sport to anyone visiting Guerneville! Thank you, Scott!!!

Excellent place to rent kayaks! My husband and I wanted to go earlier in May when a lot of rental places on the river weren't open yet, and King's delivered. Very friendly employees and great service!

The shop manager was very friendly and helpful. Gave me a ton of information on where to fish and even drew up some sketches on his white board on how to set up my line for specific fish. The shop is also really cool and fair priced

The absolute best spot for kayak rentals, near the Santa Rosa area. I've been renting kayaks from them for 5 years now, and they are consistent, reasonably priced, and knowledgeable. Mark and Scott have been nothing short of professional, welcoming, kind and helpful. Even if there were other kayak rental shops, I wouldn't care to look because they always make you feel like family, at Kings. Mark is a sweetheart and was very supportive when we have had anxious kayakers who felt nervous. He has now become our group's favorite!
