Very dirty and a ton of spiders in the rooms and covering the whole lodge. The up keep is definitely lacking attention. I highly suggest spending good money somewhere else . The sad part is it could be a incredible property if it was cleaned up .

We had a last minute booking and was taken care of personally by AL. He was happy to show is secrets of our riverview corner room. Definitely want that room everytime I stay. The lodge looks like some of the 5star resorts I've worked at in the common spaces. Give this low key lodge a try.

Very overpriced for what you get. The bed was so old it actually sloped downward and we had to turn around to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed. The noise from the road is quite loud and invasive. The lodge itself is beautiful and the piece of property it sits on lovely, but I would not go back for the price.

Nice little gem. The lodge sits on quite a bit of property. Easy acces to the river with a dock to launch off and return to. 2 minute drive from safeway and places to eat. Would definitely return.

Delightful old-school place to stay. No TVs, deep dark wood lodge atmosphere, green space behind the property, and lush trees everywhere.Shared kitchen is a welcome edition, and the manager is personable without being overly friendly. It's a perfect balance.

Way sweet stay here long time ago. Back then it was a gay hangout. I, the Swede, had just arrived from Sweden and my new friends from San Francisco invited me to stay at this resort. Everyone wanted to "concur" the cute Swedish guy, but I held my fort. Fabulous place to stay, and just a short walking distance to a bar, where they had the strongest long Island ice tea ever. The next morning I released I had done things that I normally wouldn't do. I guess the swedes get a reputation for a reason. Lol ?

Camped in crowded campground, but lovely anyway. River was a little low for a good swim. Check to see when they are releasing water from dam for a better experience. Plenty of good times with good people.

I called asking how to get to the office to check in, he spoke to me like an idiot. Then he tried to give me shit about my dog. Canceled and stayed somewhere much nicer and hey- CHEAPER TOO...without the ceiling water damage coming down on you and spiders in your sheets!Al, maybe have some respect for people who don't live here. Better yet, the places we called to find another room after seeing your options laughed when we told where we were coming from. Seems you have quite the rep. Your property is beautiful but people take a vacation to leave people like you. But my husband said you hit on him, so maybe you just hate women.

We ended up staying 2 nights. Owner was very cool and friendly. We enjoying the location and the outdoor amenities. It is very close to the river and provides great views. Only complaint: SPIDERS! We had spiders all throughout our room that seemed to surprise my wife and I and every corner. Next time they should think about dusting and checking for cobwebs everywhere.

Absolutely gorgeous place with rustic charm. A beautiful and charming lodge with a gracious host to match. Ample parking and then a gorgeous elevated walkway up to the redwood log cabin. A big beautiful porch over looks the vast property. Inside a large live edge dining table, an alluring library, a grand fireplace, a monumental mantle, and a fluffy couch to sink into. The lodge is nestled in the perfect spot on the Russian River, this time of year the water was pleasant and full of steelhead trout, cranes, and ducks. Dorthy the host is a beautiful soul and a pleasure to chat with. She made us the most delicious French toast breakfast Sunday with scrumptious and fluffy scrambled eggs, the best strawberries I’ve ever had, orange juice, coffee, cinnamon bread, and more! My stay here wasn’t just pleasant, it’s was soul healing..

This place could be amazing with a renovation, a good thorough cleaning and a staff that kept the place running properly and presentable.Pros: great river access, many outdoor areas to enjoy, walking distance to townCons: beds are uncomfortable, the bathrooms are strait up disgusting with mold and dust that looked like it has been there a while, the door to our room was broken and we had to figure out a trick to opening during our stay, access to kitchen but it smelled was dirty and oven did not work, tv in the common area didn’t work, no host to ask questions to, doors of the lodge stayed open all night no one to close up the place. The host as very nice, saw her once during our 3 night stay. But this place needs a staff, someone that stays on property to help we ran out of toilet paper and has to go hunting for some. No fresh towels, we get it conserve and covid ….this place was so dirty a few clean extra towels would have been great. Also lastly this place is so loud and noisey from the guest to busy traffic driving by they keep ear plugs on the front desk ?I hope the owner sees this and makes some improvements this place could be killer and with the right service I know id pay moreGood luck!!

I live across the River from the lodge and the hellacious noise is invasive and is inescapable even with all the windows and doors shut when they’re having an event or if people are camping on the property. All day and most of the night. It’s not peaceful or even joyful. It’s aggressively noisy!

A gorgeous lodge with tasteful rustic room, fantastic furniture, and exquisite property with tons of outdoor special seating areas. Wow! Can't wait to come back next time. It was perfect to meetup with an old friend and social distance (covid) with them outside.

I hate to leave a bad review of a small business but it's mostly so that the owner can improve his business. There is some good, some bad to this hotel so I'll try to be fair.It should be noted that this is not a dog friendly hotel. He does offer one pet friendly room but you need to call the hotel to book this room. Be aware that third party sites mistakenly call this a 'pet friendly hotel.' It is not. This isn't the owners fault but he should try to make this much more obvious on his website.Be aware that this is not a quiet place to stay. The road noise is very loud. Also, if you are staying in the hotel the itself (not camping on the grounds) you will hear everything from people walking around in their rooms, to people checking in at all hours of the night, to drunken guests loudly shouting in the common areas. The beds are not comfortable. They are old and really could be upgraded.During fire season I was shocked to see multiple open fires in the camping grounds. I'm assuming this is legal because it's private property but still seems pretty irresponsible. Never mind the fact that it already smelled like smoke when I was there but it made the air quality even worse. However, the grounds itself are nice and there are plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied. The river is right there so if you want to take a canoe or kayak out, you can.The location is hard to beat as well. You are within easy walking distance to town but be aware that the road can be a little busy and the sidewalks aren't really that large. The hotel does supply groceries and access to a full kitchen, which is great.

Nicely situated next to the Russian River with an idyllic view. The hotel grounds are nice, and feels spacious.... The lodge itself is rustic and seems pretty laid back, however it needs maintenance and updating. The host that greeted us was very nice and gracious to show us around.
