What an Absolute Gem! Every aspect of this dining experience brought me back to a time of elegance and tradition. I had a birthday dinner in the main dining room on 6/24, and it was beyond expectation. Miss Rosemary helped us from A to Z and I was astounded to learn that she is not only a co- owner but also the executive chef. Rosemary’s demeanor was so soft and inviting, yet knowledgeable and beyond professional! Upon entering the dining room, you are met with enormous plants filling up the open air from the second story, and breathtaking fresh floral arrangements on each table. The smell was so clean and luxurious from the plants! I had the salmon dish, and my partner had the cassoulet- the cassoulet brought a tear to my eye and the flavor brought me back to my childhood in Michigan. Every time a dish came out, every head in the place turned, and guests were asking “ what is that that just came out?” We also had a Burrata appetizer special and stunning Tulipe de Praline dessert. 10/10 Highly recommend! I took the early reservation at 5:30 and right as we were leaving, the parking lot started to fill up. The grounds are beautiful and I cannot wait to come back!

We love St. Orres. Stayed in the Fern Canyon cabin and had such a wonderful time. Cute, clean cabin in a gorgeous setting overlooking a lush hillside of redwoods and ferns. We enjoyed the use of the spa hot tub at night, unfortunately the sauna was out of service during our stay. The breakfast, delivered to our door, was sooo good and such a nice touch - granola, fresh fruit, pumpkin mini loaf and the silkiest frittata I've ever had. We will come back to St. Orres when we're in the area.

Loved the little cabin (I stayed in “Wake Robin”) it had a view of the ocean & woods on your own porch.. Rooms are clean & especially important to me.. They are dog friendly ( just follow the rules & be respectful of course ?
He’s my kid now that mine are grown & gone..
They even gave me a bag with a dog toy a doggy blanket & poop bags! In the morning they delivered a picnic basket to my door!!
It had all sorts of delicious fruit & goodies! The Restaurant is gorgeous & food was Amazing.. will go back anytime I head to California from Washington State ?
Great memories & I enjoyed it so much I got a gift certificate for my Daughter & Son-in-law! Perfect gift for people who are hard to shop for!! They also LOVED it!!!
Thank you Rosemary & Staff..

I visited here for dinner, and it was phenomenal! True mastery at work, especially the pressed blackberry cocktail and the Michelin quality mushroom ravioli.
Food & drinks: I have never had mushroom ravioli close to the exquisite taste of these. Absolutely fantastically great.

Ok this is gonna be long winded but informative. We were having a wing it weekend and found this place headed north on 1 after stopping by the Sea Ranch Lodge. ($600 a night) Decided the juice wasn't worth the squeeze and headed back on the road. Found St. Orres on Google and thought it had some charm to it and the pics of the cabins were quaint and on par with the rural area. This is not the Ritz nor should you expect that level booking this place. What you can expect is history, charm, forest vibes, interesting architecture, good food and a rustic cabin in the woods to recharge. Wifi isn't perfect but it works and we were the highest cabin on the hill. We had a lovely wood burning stove as well as a 2 person jetted tub along with a sauna built into the bathroom. No TV no other distractions and a balcony with two chairs facing the ocean to have our morning coffee. The main dining room has beautiful vaulted ceilings as well as living plants that drape from the walls. It is a site for sure. We talked with the owner multiple times and she is so pleasant and accomodating. The food is higher in price but not out of the ballpark when it comes to how remote they are, and the qualtiy they deliver. My wife and I found all the dishes we had to be really well prepared and executed. My wife had the scallops and I had the filet. Yes there is a lot of potato on the plate but there was plenty of meat and veggies to go around so you don't leave hungry. The desserts were on par with dinner. Very good and especially the ginger cake! They make a lot of it in house and they do a great job at it. That is the kind of food I want to eat. The grounds are a little spread out but definately walkable. You have views of the ocean with some redwoods that may stand in your way but very beautiful. We paid $365 per night and which I found to be a deal considering you get privacy, sauna, 2 person jetted tub and views. There are cheaper options with smaller cabins as well. Lots of other places up and down the coast are far more expensive for less. But if you want the fastest internet and butlers, seek another place to stay. If you don't mind starting your own fire and enjoying the redwoods with the ocean in view, snuggled up in a cabin all to yourself, then this is the spot. I highly recommend this place. I found it to be a great value for what you get. We will definately return.

St Orres is a very quiet and familiar place. When you enter the restaurant you feel as if you were in my house, calm and cozy.Safety: It is a very quiet place, individual family cabins and very safe.Food & drinks: The food is excellent and delicious, the presentation goes without saying and there is a variety of drinks, especially the delicious Basil Martini.

Stellar! I adored the cocktails and the mushroom lasagna. The resort is pleasant. The views are amazing as the people. The architecture is quaint and unusual. Recommend wholeheartedly.

First time in Gualala. We stopped at St. Orres after lunch just to look at the building and it's architecture. After going inside and meeting a very nice woman we made a reservation for dinner that evening. For being almost in the middle of nowhere I was not expecting to find such a beautiful place, nor have such an exceptional meal 5STARS!
