St. Orres is an unforgettable, elegant, and rustic gem nestled in a beautiful, peaceful, and serene corner of the California coast. It offers a magical escape with charming, intimate lodging in gorgeous houses and cabins full of character, though some rooms can feel small and simple or have issues like a mildewy smell. The setting is quiet and stunning, with magnetic redwoods, the scent of the ocean, and close proximity to stunning beaches and trails. The restaurant is a culinary highlight with excellent, thoughtful, and delicious food, served in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is extremely welcoming, and the grounds are pretty and well-kept. It is a perfect respite and retreat for solitude and relaxation.
I have stayed here before and the room was nicer/cleaner. The window blinds behind the bed were very dirty and moldy. The cottage also had a very mildewy smell. I know this is probably hard to stay on top of, due to being on the ocean, but would love to see this improved.
