I stayed here for 5 weeks while traveling for work. Absolutely loved the location, The views and the esthetic and cleanliness of the rooms were great. My only issue is that there are things like water damage and peeling paint that the hotel doesn't seem to be fixing. It seems like these things have been the way they are for a long time. Another issue is that the construction of the glass showers didn't include a door in most of the rooms that I stayed in, andwater was always puddled on the floor outside when I got out of the shower. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Seems like poor design. I hope they spend the off-season fixing the damage in the rooms and I do plan to return here on a vacation with my family sometime in the future because the balconies and the views were fantastic. The coastline in this area is some of the best anywhere in California.

The best part of staying here was of course the view which was nature made. The next best was the huge jet tub which worked and fit me and my 6’ tall hubby-much needed relaxation. It goes a bit downhill from there. Bed was uncomfortable, weird chemical smell (admittedly I am a bit sensitive), outdated decor, two windows without blinds-so you’re forced to be up with the sun or wear a sleep mask. I forgot my sleep mask, so I used my favorite T-shirt and sadly forgot it in the bed. The hotel person I talked to about getting it returned sounded rushed. I described what I left and which room we were in. She said, “you left a bunch of stuff in the drawers.” I said, “we didn’t use the drawers”, then instead of clarifying the contents with me, she hurriedly asked me for my address and said they would send us what they found. Package arrives and it’s none of our stuff. I loved the location but I didn’t feel it was worth the price honestly. You might like it and consider yourself warned about the downsides.

Rolled into Gualala super late after watching the sun go down at Point Arena and making terrible time into town without a real plan on where to stay. Most hotels were closed, but by some stroke of luck Hotel Breakers night auditor Bryn was still at the front desk. The room was more expensive than I usually like to spend for a single nights stay, but waking up to a great view of the ocean and spacious, well appointed, digs more than made up for the extra expense.

She is tired.Location is phenomenal, staff is nice. Water damage, poor repairs and uncomfortable mattresses, along with weak wi-fi and dated tvs/satellite takes everything down quite a few notches.Honestly would be a great place with some TLC, but as is, not a favorite.

What you see on the website is most definitely NOT what you get. We drove 4 hours to get there, and when we got there, they said our room was ready. Everything was absolutely disgusting and there were hundreds of dead flies in the room, especially in the window ledges. The room was incredibly dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The bed was filthy and the frame was broken, creaking and cracking. The neighbors next-door blasting their TV and had stolen our patio furniture from our deck. Management had US go retrieve it back from them while they glared at us through the window. Really awkward and inappropriate. The room and the bed were so filthy that we didn't want to touch anything, and most definitely would not spend the night in there. As it was a Friday afternoon, there was nothing available anywhere near and we had to drive two hours back down the coast and rent a room in Petaluma. Completely ruined our trip we had planned. This place is horrible and disgusting! ZERO stars.

This lady worked intentively to help me out for a last-minute reservation. giving me a beautiful room overlooking the water. I believe her name was Bryce . It wasn't just that she went above and beyond recommendations. Everything I didn't have a lot to work with moneywise, so I really appreciate it her help, this place was gorgeous. I felt like I hit the lottery I was so grateful what a lovely experience. thank you.

Beautiful view, Awesome people , lovely fireplace & heated floors. My teenagers and I loved everything about our stay here ?we've been back twice now and can't wait to go back again❣️❣️ They just had to go here to stay for their birthday , they could have went to Great America anywhere but they chose to go here, even my six-year-old loves it !! The view is gorgeous it's close to trails to walk by the ocean or the river , it's just amazing. I read a lot of really negative reviews on here about them and I have to completely disagree. If there is something wrong with your room just let them know and they'll work with you on it it's a older hotel and they're doing their best to renovate it and keep it going. The bonus is it's absolutely peaceful and gorgeous. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW AMAZING IT IS HERE❣️❣️

The views are amazing, the room was clean and comfy. They allow dogs which is great. We booked three rooms last minute for a drive along the coast we were doing as a family and were very happy. We didn't have much interaction with staff but what we did we found them to be very nice and accommodating. While it's not some big resort or hotel it was a perfect small beach town stay. Only downside is I thought based on the pictures there was beach access but because the river is so large you couldn't easily get to the beach (from what we found) however the views from the room and *windows that open* made the beach feel right there without having to get sandy. All of us agreed we would stay again anytime. Listen to front desk pretty much everything in town closes at 8 pm.

The room was very overpriced for what was offered. Smallest tv over ever seen in a room. Shower drain almost completely stopped. Nice view of beach but no cushions on the outdoor furniture. Service was decent and manager Chris was real nice. Only bright spot. Not many options there so be prepared.

I hope you like it cold and bright. The heater just didn't work, I complained twice and they said it takes several hours. Well, it's 40 outside and not much better inside. So instead of checking or offering a different room or a space heater, the answer is deal with it. Thanks a lot. Oh its radiant heat so there is about three minutes of hot water for a shower since all the rest is failing to heat the room. There are no curtains, just blinds, and one fixed window that blasts the room with the exterior lights. The bed was quite old and creaky. The view is amazing and the deck is nice. Still, this is hands down my worst hotel of 2022, congratulations I'll lock you in before the end of December.
