My husband and I stayed at Rush Creek and we had the best experience. We had great service and yummy food! We took a tour into Yosemite with Tyler and we can’t say enough about how knowledgeable he was! He made our trip to Yosemite easy and stress free.

Beautiful resort hotel in the Yosemite area, short drive to the Tioga entrance. The room was very comfortable with a nice bed, spcious balcony with beautifulsunset views, large clean shower, and a convenient small fridge, coffee maker, and electric kettle. The service was wonderful at the front desk and pool bar. We relaxed at the saltwater pool and in the hot tub. It was fun to roast s'mores around the fire each night. Our party was 3 adults and 3 seniors and there was something for everyone.

For over $800 per night, you expect concierge service but you won’t get that here. The employees don’t want to help you at all and don’t know anything about the area. All but one washing machine works. Some of the games are broken. The place is beautiful but I cannot understand the employee situation. Who hired these people?

Amazingly comfortable, convenient and friendly atmosphere at Rush Creek Lodge. Great pool, reliable food, super clean and nicely appointed rooms. Don't miss the chance to check it out.
Big Ups to Tyler with the tour group branch! He made the Wonders of Yosemite (tour name) easy to access and interesting to behold. My kids (9 and 14) are still talking about Tyler and his affably informative way.
Keep it up, Rush Creek!

Walkability: The lodge has its own trails for a morning run or stroll.
Food & drinks: Great portion sizes in the À la carte menu. You can sit by the pool or fireplace during meals to enjoy the serenity.
Noteworthy details: Separate lounge, play area and kid-friendly activities throughout the week. A general store / gift shop within the premises help you buy equipment or essentials for the hike.

We were super excited to visit and hike in Yosemite as we have not been there before and this lodge seemed perfect for us. But the day before leaving we learned that mother-in-law, who had health issues, suddenly took a turn for the worst and was declining rapidly. We had to cancel our trip and get to her home as soon as possible. But by the evening, she had passed before we had a chance to get to her.
Rush Creek, however, would not make an exception to their cancellation policy and is charging us one night of our reservation. I understand the policy and had no reason to believe we would have to cancel it. But our mom’s passing was beyond our control. It saddens me that Rush Creek did not have empathy for our situation.
I know my emotions were high at that moment as I had been crying a lot over that last 24 hours and that news just hit hard. It just seemed heartless and uncaring.

This was the best part of our vacation! There are t enough words to describe how much fun we had, how great the customer service was and how much we want to come back to Rush Creek! I actually wrote hand written thank you notes to staff members, that’s how special this place is. When was the las time you were driven to write a thank you note to a hotel/lodge staff member?!? I would highly suggest taking one of their extra classes as well. We did glassblowing as a family and the smiles on our faces were from ear to ear!
Rooms: We had a basic lodge room with two queen beds and it was big enough for all four of us and all our stuff and still felt spacious! Great view too!
Nearby activities: Literally right outside the entrance to Yosemite so the location was PERFECT!
Safety: Felt safe with our kids (17 and 12) walking around the property on their own.
Food & drinks: Food was great at the restaurant and so was the service!

This is a great location getting to the park. Initially we arrived after a long flight and long drive to be treated by very nice front desk personnel. Dinner was on the pricier side but due to location of Yosemite we expected it.
Amanda, was our first server, who was absolutely wonderful, but it ended there.
The next few times at the restaurant was terrible. One night we waited for dinner 2 hours 45 minutes. We had a new waitress who seemed over her head. She "forgot" to put in our order, and when finally realized it, she did own it we understood and if it ended there it would've been enough. However, there was another waiter LUCAS (if that's his real name)
The new waitress was busy doing other things and Lucas delivered our meals. We asked for additional dressing and before I could finish my request he started to walk away. I said "hold on, I wasn't done , our other table guest had ordered oil /vinegar for his salad but was given something else ".
Lucas was visibly annoyed at our request. We weren't sure what irritated him by simply asking for the correct dressing but he treated us as if we did something wrong. He is not friendly. There is no doubt in my mind you haven't received other complaints about his attitude.
If the restaurant wasn't bad enough... this place is a child free for all . Forget any guests that are older or childless. Plan to deal with this as a kids playground. There is no control. The kids run free while the parents and the hotel staff allow it. Screaming in restaurants, running through the halls (alone) running through the shops. Stomping in the rooms can heard from above. All of it. For the price tag this hotel is, it shouldn't be catered to only families with small kids. This isn't Lego land. There are all ages that visit Yosemite that don't want to deal with parents and hotel staff that treat the hotel like a playground. Set a rule in place that parents are required to be with their children so kids aren't just running free through the hotel while parents drink at the pool unaware of where their kids even are.
The cleaning staff, while friendly, I'm not sure what they do. They don't remove garbage or dishes. They don't replenish coffee cups. They don't replenish towels.
Unfortunately it's a beautiful hotel, a perfect location, some friendly staff, but honestly I don't think it is enough for me to come back.
I noticed only response from management is from 5 star reviews . So I'm not expecting a response
3 stars are for location

The rooms are rooms. 5 min and less than 2 miles from the Big Oak Flat entrance, but 25 miles, 45 min from Tunnel View. The spa was great. Highly recommend the spa. The game room was fun. Family friendly place.

Stayed here this past weekend for a getaway with friends, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was super helpful and polite, and the accommodations were nice and comfortable with lots of fun activities to participate in.
The highlight was definitely our guided tour into Yosemite park itself. We were a big group of 11, so we had two guides, Tyler and Tom to wrangle us all. Between them, they were a whole store of awesome fun facts and so much knowledge about the history and the flora and fauna all around, along with just great personal stories of their climbing and outdoors experience. I had so much fun learning so much in just the afternoon's hike! Their engagement and enthusiasm made the whole adventure feel very unique and personal. Even with the hot blazing sun and all the bugs chomping on us, it felt like the afternoon just flew by. For other newbies to Yosemite like me, I think the lodge's tours with their awesome staff of guides is a great way to make it a memorable and educational visit. Huge recommendation for anyone looking for some park exploration! :D
