This is a lovely hotel with lots of character. The room was clean, the beds really I comfortable and the amenities like coffee and tea as well as the bath products were a really nice touch. The shower was great- good pressure, plenty of hot water which you don't always get with older historic properties. What really made it 5 stars was the host. He could not have been more helpful and welcoming. We also appreciate being able to have a one night stay for our too quick trip to Yosemite!

Check in- The front desk guy was so friendly. Room - Was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Noise - We had never been too this hotel, didn't know how the noise level would be. Our room was behind the front desk check in. They have guest restrooms at the end of the hall from our room. The restaurant is also in the hotel. So all the guests who visit use the restrooms. The restaurant closed at 9. A lot of families with children, so it was extra loud. The noise stopped right at 10pm. I'm sure the parents wanted their time to themselves. Morning Noise - We were awakened by children screaming in the hallway at 7:30. ( no parents around) Breakfast- We left around 9:30 and there wasn't anything left to eat. They have muffins and donuts for the guests. It was an empty basket. Conclusion - We really loved this place. Next time that we stay here we will get a room upstairs. The restaurant was wonderful. The people were wonderful. We would definitely recommend this place.

We've been coming to this boutique hotel since 2018. The management has changed over the years but the hotel's charm remains. The newest management team has made some improvements with a cute restaurant and cocktail service. This will continue to be our go-to spot whenever we're visiting the Yosemite area. The park is @25 minutes away, with the valley @45 mins.

My partner and I stayed here for Christmas, and we loved it! The rooms are so cute and comfortable, and the staff is so accommodating and kind. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Groveland.

Loved staying at the Charlotte Hotel! The room was lovely. Staff were so kind and made us feel right at home! The tavern had the best drinks in town (highly recommend an old fashioned). Absolutely loved our time here and will stay again if given the chance.

Heading home after spending the weekend at Hotel Charlotte. So much fun and such a cute place. It is a 100 year plus hotel with much charm and beauty, and the owners Finn and his beautiful wife are the perfect hosts. We felt very welcome and taken care of. A good night sleep is always really important for me and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We slept really well. Our room and bathroom was clean and neat. It is a historic building, so don't expect a spa bathroom, but we were still very happy with it and it had everything we needed. Be sure to check out their restaurant as well, Charlotte's Tavern. Best food in town! Also, the staff is super friendly. We had a great time with talking with them. We felt like old friends being welcome back by Finn and his staff, even though it was our first time. We will definitely be back.

See you again. DEFINITELY! Great hotel service all around, Finn, owner amazing. Staff very personable. Quaint, comfy rooms. 100 year old plus charm, rings the accommodations. Tired of seeing pics of the "before" eating of the meal, well here are the results. Plates clean, meatloaf extraordinary! Thai curry shrimp.... Boom! Highly recommended all around! Thank you for our great weekend experience.

After a long day of driving from the Napa area, I decided to get a room instead of my initial plan of sleeping in my car. It was late, and the drive up the windy highway had me tense and ready for a comfy bed. The owner is who checked me in. He was such a shining star full of energy, and I was thrilled at his hospitality & knowledge of the area! It's clear he takes pride in his property and cherishes the experience he offers his guests.Beds are comfy, double headed showers, and a nice continental breakfast.Unfortunately, my visit was at the beginning of winter hours, I missed out on what I hear to be an awesome dining menu. I'll have to return to check it out?Nearby activities: Yosemite NP is about 30-40 minutes away

Definitely a five-star experience in Groveland. Finn is a hands-on Innkeeper with lots of information and stories. The room was clean, bright and comfortable and featured a new spa tub and heat/ac. The lobby is spacious and comfortable to hang out or eat in. They have a happy hour with terrific cocktails and beer and then offer a very good upmarket meal choices. Rates are reasonable, afternoon checkin and self-checkout. Spend time in lovely Groveland in comfort!

Just back from our weekend stay at Hotel Charlotte and I wanted to write this review before I forget all the amazing things! We decided to celebrate my husband's 41st birthday at this charming hotel. The goal was to take him to an old west historic hotel and Hotel Charlotte was top of the list. We liked the bonus of being 30 minutes away from Yosemite. We took our 4-year-old and appreciated that the hotel is kid friendly. We stayed in rooms 2 and 4, and our kid loved having their own room with the joining bathroom. The rooms were great. Obviously old, but that is the point. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We were right next to the balcony patio, a big bonus! We ate at the restaurant two nights in a row. We also ate on the balcony both nights. All three of us loved it! The heat lamps kept the area cozy and the view is awesome. On the first night we had a short power outage while waiting for our food. It was not surprising, we imagine this was a common occurrence. We actually had fun watching the town move on in the dark. This outage did not prevent our food from coming either. The food was delicious and the cocktails were perfect. The complimentary muffins in the morning are great! The couch by the window was a fun spot to people watch. They had games available, so our 4-year-old practiced his letters on the ABC blocks while we sipped our coffee and tea.The customer service is wonderful. I appreciated how calm everyone was during the power outage. The hotel owners were very friendly and hands-on. The entire staff was cool during our whole visit. We loved our stay so much. Hotel Charlotte made my husband's birthday super memorable. We are very lucky that this hotel is still around 100 years later. You can feel the way this place is lovingly preserved and cared for by the owners. Our day trip to Yosemite barely scratched the surface. We will come back to explore more of the park and Hotel Charlotte will be our spot.

I stayed there with my brother and sister in law for one night. We had connecting rooms with a shared bathroom. The rooms were cute and cosy and the bed was super comfy. The only reason why we didn't give it a 5 star was that the heater was very noisy and woke each of us up a few times. The owner was super nice and funny. We ate dinner there and it was a big portion and very yummy. They also had coffe/tea and delicious apple muffins for BF.

Like stepping back in time. The rooms are comfy for their size. Delicious muffins in the morning but the real treat is the bar and restaurant attached to the hotel. If you’re a bourbon lover this will be a slice of heaven. The food is delicious too. FYI there isn’t an elevator so pack light. Highly recommended

Amazing little gem of a place. Full of character . Beds comfy..Owner very welcoming. Easy to find , Perfect location for exploring Yosemite NP Restaurant and Bar on site , use of communal fridge .. Breakfast handy for those having an early start! Wish we could have stayed more than one night!
