We had an excellent Tour with our Guide Matthew yesterday, where we did not only see beautiful spots and areas in the park but also learned so much about the Yosemite nature and history.
It was great and would definitely recommend!!! Thanks again :-).

October 2024 - This is the second time we have used Echo Adventure for a full day of fly fishing in the Yosemite area. The fly fishing around Yosemite is classic stream fishing with various water flows depending upon time of year. The terrain is not always easy and getting to rivers may require traversing up and over heavily bouldered hillsides occasionally with loose rock so that should be taken into consideration depending upon your abilities. If this type of terrain is a problem your guides have many options on where to fish and I suspect they can accommodate terrain suitable for kids, the agile, and those of us that are less agile. You may also need to be comfortable wading in shallow water with slippery rock. A wading staff is highly recommended if you are not experienced at wading streams. Our day was spent with Kevin who is probably the youngest guide we have ever experienced. His youth was not a reflection of his knowledge and/or skill sets. He is native to the area and knows the streams very well. He was incredibly passionate about fishing in general and was extremely good at providing instruction, tips, and tricks that were really appreciated as we are not accomplished at fly fishing. He is a very enthusiastic and positive teacher. Over the course of the day our technique improved, we were getting bit with occasional hookups throughout the day. Kevin did a few demonstration casts and would readily hook onto a fish providing us both with great instruction and firm evidence that fish were everywhere he indicated they would be. Lunch is provided from a local deli and was very well prepared with snacks and drinks throughout the day. All equipment and gear were also provided and were in good condition. Overall, we really enjoyed our day and were extremely happy with Kevin's guidance and instruction. We had a great time and left our day better at fly fishing than we began!

We had the absolute best day of our entire trip fly fishing with Kevin in Yosemite. It really set a high bar at the beginning of our trip. Kevin is patient, helpful, and super smart about all things outdoors. My husband and I caught 25 fish!!! It was wild! We also saw a bear, TWICE (same tagged bear). Kevin was very calm and collected both times (the bear got pretty close!) and knew exactly what to do to make us feel safe so we could appreciate the very exciting experience. I highly recommend booking with Echo Adventures! We can't wait to go back!

My son-in-law and I did the Private Half Day Advanced Flyfishing Trip. Brian was our guide and we had a great time. It was on Labor Day weekend and the weather was extremely hot so the fishing was off. But we had a lot of fun. We got to try places we hadn't fished before. Brian gave it his all and did everything to be sure we enjoyed ourselves and kept at it well past our Half Day period. He taught me some things to add to my abilities and even got me interested in micro spey casting. I also highly recommend Echo Adventure for the super friendly shop staff and the Great customer service.

Thank you so much to our 2 guides for finding multiple places for us to fish; rivers and lakes. Though there were lots of us they made many attempts to spend time with each of us and teach us new methods of fly fishing.

My family and I had a great time on the fly fishing trip with Kevin! All but one of us were beginners yet, Kevin helped us through learning how to cast and the strategy to fishing.
He was also very knowledgeable on the California wilderness and answer any question we threw at him. Highly recommend!

My friend and I did the Glacier Point tour yesterday. Though we had done some previous walking around the Valley the day before, the sights we visited were jaw-dropping. Aside from the stunning views, Matt was an absolute top-notch guide, having profound knowledge about the Park, it’s wildlife and history, and has extensive common knowledge on a lot of other topics, which, combined with his excellent communication skills and humble attitude, made the experience a true pleasure. Thank you, Matt!

We had a nice afternoon fly fishing with Kevin. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and fishing and my two sons had a great time, thanks for making it a wonderful part of our adventures in Yosemite!

We had one day to see Yosemite and with Matt as our guide we learned SO MUCH! From botany to Native American myths and legends we were captivated by the beauty and complexity of the park. Thanks, Matt & Echo Adventure Cooperative! It was absolutely worth it!

My family had a wonderful walking tour in Yosemite Valley with this company. Everything went off just as promised, and our guide was excellent. However, what impressed me even more was that the day before our trip, I had a medical issue and my Dr did not think it was a good idea to walk much for at least a week. Even though it was outside the refund window, they were kind and gracious and gave me a refund. This company deserves your business.

We had an amazing winter adventure with Bryant! First the Sequoia’s in the snow, then Yosemite Valley with really nice hikes adjusted to our skills. The tour was cancelled due to sickness the day before, but they were very communicative about it and gave us free lunches and discount (although we didn’t mind that the tour was delayed 1 day). Bryant was very knowledgeable about the area and we appreciate the sustainable mindset of the company. Would recommend if you want a tour trough Yosemite avoiding the bigger crowds.

Did fly fishing with the kids with our guide, Bryant, and had the best time. Bryant was the epitome of patience with my kiddos and me. Great value - in line with other places I've been. I would highly recommend them as a guide service and wouldn't hesitate to use them for any future excursions.
Sandwiches were amazing also. ?
