Absolutely loved this campground! Just spent last weekend there. Our campsites were great. As a group of 7 we easily split 2 sites next to each other. But I will say it is hard to tell from the website how big each is. So if you have an opportunity scope out the different sites I highly recommend doing that. The bathrooms were kept very clean and well lit. The camp hosts are super nice and do an amazing job keeping an eye on things and keeping the sites tidy and ready for guests. Each site seems to be equipped with a fire pit and a bear box - which you definitely should use! We saw a bear while we were there. I would highly recommend this as a great place that feels far away and quiet but is honestly not too far of a drive from most of Southern California!

This campground is beautiful! It's a little bit secluded, and most of the sites have nice shade. The restrooms are kept very clean and the camp hosts are so friendly! It is in bear country so you should be diligent about keeping your food in the provided bear lockers.

Great place to camp! Nice views and spacious campsite. The restrooms were very very clean. Our camp hosts Judy and Ed were amazing!! They were extremely hospitable and informative. They were very sweet, and made the experience that much more enjoyable! Will definitely be back. Would highly recommend.

This is our second time visiting green valley campground. This time there was damage from a storm at the campground we had reserved. But thankfully Judy called well before hand and moved us to a open sites that fit our group and was very comfortable. I appreciated the communication and help Judy gave us to have an amazing camping trip!

Tucked away between Big Bear and Arrowhead is the nice, quiet campground at Green Valley Lake. I've been twice now and found the camp hosts to be kind and welcoming, the bathrooms to be excellently maintained, and the setting pretty perfect. Most sites are sized well enough for a few tents, however there are a few with uneven, sloped terrain that might make a tent difficult: so van campers and RTT-users can claim those. Be sure to look at the available sites on something like campsitephotos, in addition to the ones on the reservation site, in order to gauge whether a site is good for your group. Some sites are tucked away and offer extreme privacy, and some ... well, don't. Some are expansive but lack a lot of level ground, most have at least some tree cover. The family camp site (or double site) is all +++. Tucked away, expansive, level. You even get a little bridge and babbling brook. There is a short 3ish mile hike available that starts above the campsites and loops around and ends nearer the town that has great views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. And a longer hike available as well.

We come every year for the 4th of July. This year was the best. The 2023 camp hosts go above and beyond. The bathrooms were the cleanest we have ever seen them. The camp hosts were super communicative and helpful. I wish these hosts could stay every year!

Beautiful campground! Site #33 is amazing but will only accommodate 1 large vehicle, less than 10'. Right now, there's a little stream right behind it that you can hear. Lots of shade and very private.

This is the highest spot to camp in Southern CA, at an elevation of 7,200 feet. The campground atmosphere is clean, serene, and rustic. The sites are level, maintained, and uncrowded. A few are more secluded, and would be good for birding.Roads inside the campground need maintenance, but are passable. Some turns looked challenging for larger RVs. No hook-ups. Restrooms available. A Camp Host was on-site.The four season weather at this elevation is generally dry. It rains approx. ten days annually. It's a short drive to the tiny resort village. There's a private, non-motorized lake (pay for access), General Store, The Malt Shop, The Black Dog Social Club, museum, fishing, watercraft rentals, playground, swim beach, and the Fire Department. From Hwy. 18, the campground is at the end of the only paved road leading into Green Valley Lake.Enjoy the five mile scenic route of wooded, winding road. It slowly takes you back in time to discover the unspoiled nature and simple pleasures of camping in the San Bernardino Mountains.

My kids and I went for a single night. We were looking forward to swimming and hiking. The night sky was brilliant and there were a few trails from the camp site. Unfortunately, the weather was not as warm as we were hoping. The lake was a lot smaller than what we were expecting also. Overall we had a great camping experience.

A campground with a lot of trees, birds, and stars. This place is surrounded by several hiking trails. Also has a good sized lake nearby. Reception sometimes works. A lot of birds to watch, so bring your binoculars!

Amazing place for camping but make sure to take few extra blankets besides your sleeping bag. Temperature can drop to 30° at night time during October...Freezing, cold weather and beautiful nature ? ⛺

Okay people... did you all hurt your thumbs. If you appreciate these reviews, click the ??. Thanks.Very nice small campground. Limited sites, so reservations are a good idea and a must on weekends. Lots of trails for all experience levels and ages.Green Valley Lake is a very nice, family friendly fishing lake with a small town vibe. There's a swim beach with barbecues. Rent a fishing boat, paddle boat or canoe.Have fun and be respectful of fellow campers and locals.

This really is a beautiful campground! The sites are large and spread out, with bear boxes and plenty of shade at each campsite. Restrooms are relatively clean with running water and flush toilets. Campground hosts are helpful and kind. But like many campgrounds during summer, you'll see TONS of children running around playing, riding electric scooters, etc. at night. Seemed to quiet down by 10 or 11 (quiet hours start at 10) but if you're trying to get to sleep early to get up at dawn for an all-day hike, bring earplugs. :)
