First off I wanted to give thanks to Kent for taking my call during non-working hours and helping with the issue I was having, which was due to a setting I changed. Very friendly staff anytime I've called. Highly recommend anyone in the area.

Worst internet company in Gold Country, do not use their service. First off it hardly ever worked, their response is slow and their tech support are not knowledgeable…on top of that they tried to bill me for a router I never order but they installed without my consent…which is technically illegal. I informed them that this was installed without my knowledge and it wasn’t the extra five dollars a month that they were illegally charging me without a signed contract. It was more the fact that I was A ten-year customer and it seems to me that I should be valued and respected and they drop my service immediately. Stay away from these guys they’re crooks and they’re signal and service suck

I’ve used this service for a little over a year. Until last week, it’s been great. Now, I can’t stream shows, or even check my email. They’ve “fixed” it 3 times since last week. Connectivity was fine this morning for the first time in over a week, and now it’s terrible again. MAJOR improvements needed.

We’ve had Smarter Broadband for 9 months. It’s one of few options for us at Bear River Ranches. The internet has been incredible. I work from home and we only use a smart TV. The best part about the company is their customer service! Every single person I’ve encountered for assistance has been incredible! Tank came out to install about a year ago and he just came by again to repair some squirrel damage to a cable. Super friendly and he truly cares about the customer, that goes for all of the staff. Phone support is very proactive and got to the root of a issue when I had zoom freezing, turns out it was a bad router and we couldn’t be happier with the customer service. We bumped up to a mid-tier plan since we rely on it so much, but even the lower tier was incredible for us. All of our neighbors finally switched over too!

First impression, their website link on google goes to the iphone app store for a mobile sim app call ALO. How did they not get this right or fixed yet? Sheeesh!!

I love this internet company! First off - you get to talk to a real life person! There have been times where my internet was a little slower and they immediately jump into action running all the tests to see what the issue is. More often then not, they found something uploading behind the scenes in my device. The prices are very reasonable. The customer service you receive at Smarter Broadband is superior to any utility company hands down! I get the $89 package, I can’t tell you what my up and down speeds are, but I can tell you I can stream 3 devices without any issues.

This organization is TOP NOTCH!! They are ALWAYS available when I need them. They are able to access situations quickly and are incredibly customer-oriented. Kyle and Kent have been very "hands-on" and easy to understand, and wonderfully helpful. I would recommend renting the modem from them because they can monitor the status of the service coming into your home/office without a service call being necessary. HIGHLY RECOMMEND SmarterBroadband, Inc.! (Grateful customer for almost 7 years running.) Thank you!!! From Kath

The service was good until it wasn’t. Then they wanted me to pay for a tree climber to fix a problem they had already identified as being an issue on there end. When I canceled mu service they charged me to take down the equipment they refused to repair. I switched to Starlink and could not be happier.

Called and they had a 2 week wait for installs and eventually a nice guy named Tank came out to install in September 2022 and he was very polite and professional. He took the time to explain how he was going to install, being extra careful to do a professional install not to damage the home or crack the stucco. He gave some tips on burying the cable out to the receiver. As for the service, we are used to having high-speed cable but Smarter Broadband does not disappoint. Signed up for the 9mbps and we use it daily for Zoom meetings, working online and streaming Disney+ Netflix and Hulu. The streaming TV has been awesome, even without satellite. Had a few interruptions in zoom, but that sometimes happened at my old place with Comcast too. Bonus: We had a storm and their tower had a power outage, they went and installed a generator within a couple of hours!! Later I had a dog chew through a line and they came out same day and repaired our wiring for a reasonable fee! That tech was also super nice! Very happy!

Subscriber Beware, this service is pretty terrible. The issues are made even worse by the cost of what they consider "High speed" we have been paying $300 for incredibly subpar and unreliable internet services, if one person is on the network downloading or even watching TV, playing a game, the bandwidth tanks, which its already SUPER slow as is for 2022, heck these speeds are unacceptable for 2006.TLDR: Being charged $300 for 20mbps down at 200ms is ridiculous, especially with its inherited inconsistency to handle network usage at any medium-high capacity. I can barely play a match of call of duty when im the only one here, let alone when my wife is also playing or watching netflix, hulu, etc.Overall, its better that satellite, but not by much and i mean the difference is negligible and i believe Smarterbroadband is more expensive that satellite.
