Peardale pines is a wonderful storage unit and they have plenty of security installed to help you feel safe when storing at this location. I want to address the other 1 star reviews left on this site. The first one states there is no security and for the most part during the last few years that was true. Kelly the manager (who recently passed away) usually always had a rope gate up after hours with her car blocking the driveway. She was a tough lady and stated that she had no problem approaching trespassers with proper protection every time she chanced them off the property. She even helped a couple with domestic violence as it was happening on the property. She left this world but her son remained to help carry on her legacy. Since then he has helped transform the place into a newly defined modern updated with cameras / a gate code for each renter/ and a system that locks into place if anyone is within the gates after 7pm. I have been renting from this location for the last two years and have been met with kindness and acceptance and innerstanding. I want to address the second review that was 1 star. It is within EVERY storage units right to sell off your property if you don't make payments. IN FACT there are people out there in this world who bank on you NOT making payments so they can purchase your storage unit. I knew Kelly personally and she wouldn't just sell a unit out from under you. She worked with everyone and even offered extensions knowing some may be in a rough place. To say she was crooked defiles her character because of your lack of respect towards her in whatever dealings you had. I had even left something out of my unit for MONTHS she/& her son kept it safe not knowing who it belonged to. It took me a few months to realize it was missing and that I had probably forgot to put it back inside my unit. THAT is the level of care you will receive when you rent from here.

I've been using Peardale storage for about a year now. I live close by so I pass the building frequently, and about 6 months ago as I was driving by late at night I noticed the gate wasn't closed. I figured this was a fluke. I made sure to look at the gate as I drove by in the future, and in a period of 1 month the gate was never closed (it was after hours each time I drove by). I mentioned this to Cole the onsite caretaker and he advised that he wasn't sure what the problem was but he would let the manager know. 6 months later the gate still remains open after hours and I've yet to be contacted by the manager. 2 days ago while dropping off my payment at around 9 pm the gate was open. I left a note, but haven't heard anything. I mainly wanted to post this so that anyone who rents at this storage unit is aware that their storage units are not protected after hours. They claim to take pride in keeping their location safe as stated on their website: "Your stuff is our business. Seriously. That's why we take pride in keeping our location safe and clean. We have implemented a number of measures to carry this out, including electronic security gates and on-site staff every day of the week" Not only is this false advertising, it's disrespectful to their customers. If you are a renter here, I'd recommend bringing this to their attention as well. Hopefully with enough complaints they will start "keeping their location safe". I'd also recommend measuring your unit. I rent a 10x10' which actually measures 8.5x9'. I'm still waiting to be contacted by the manager to discuss this as well.... I hope this helps any potential renters in the future. I definitely do not recommend renting here!
