Sadly our beloved dog needed to be put down and Dr. Brian Rios-Mendez and the vet techs were extraordinarily kind and compassionate and accommodated our needs with such care. They helped make an awful experience as gentle as can be. We are forever grateful.

I had an appointment at 3: 15 and did not get in until 4:30 and I was scheduled with a rookie doctor. I guess since my dog didn't need help that bad, they can put me off. Without communication

I hold this establishment in high regard, as the staff are exceptional and provide outstanding care. Their expertise and attention to detail in the services offered are commendable. I wholeheartedly recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone inquiring about a reputable veterinarian or the highest quality of care. It is important to note that many of the negative reviews stem from individuals who may not fully grasp the appointment process or the reality of wait times. Just as one might experience a wait at a fine dining restaurant and leave satisfied due to excellent service, the same principle applies here. Conversely, a fast-food experience may lead to disappointment. Ultimately, one receives value commensurate with the investment made. I have great confidence in this veterinary practice and will continue to entrust my pets' well-being to them.

They saw our dog while we were visiting Grass Valley and our dog got a sticker in his ear. They were accommodating and flexible to see us at the last minute. They were priced the same as most vets and treated our dog and us with compassion. Thank you!

I misunderstood the time for my appointment when I arrived at the vets. I had my very noisy cat in a carrier and had a very difficult trip with her from Chicago Park. Susie met me at the desk and said that she could find someway for my cat to get her immunizations, even though I had arrived 20 minutes late. She was very kind and understanding and I appreciate it, her manner calmed me down. Sammy got her shots, and was returned to me by a very nice male assistant. He told me my cat was perfect getting her shots. I went home feeling like I had been treated especially well.

Excellent veterinarians, beautiful office and amazing kind & helpful staff. I made an appointment with Dr. Cameron to look at my dog's leg as she had been limping for several weeks and I feared a torn ACL. He was able to determine it was not a torn ACL & with regular walks (no running) and an anti-inflammatory she is no longer limping. He also cleaned my two small dog's teeth and I am 100% happy with the care at Motherlode. I know someone who drives up from the Bay Area to see Dr. Cameron. All the vets are great at Motherlode. I have found their prices to be reasonable and fair. Highly recommend Motherlode!

Amazing staff the deliver considerate care! We brought in our kitten and purchased one of the care packages which was reasonably priced. The staff were more than happy to answer all questions that we had and never lost patience with us (we had a lot of questions). Our doctor Dr. Cameron was extremely nice with our little guy and handled him with awesome care and was very gentle! I would give them 10 stars if I could, I will only be recommending this vet to people from here on out?

This place is clean and the staff is efficient and professional. The doctors are young and not ready to retire. I feel my dogs are in good hands here. They are super busy so I make an appointment way ahead of time. But they do have urgent care appointment availability if needed.
