This place is clean and the staff is efficient and professional. The doctors are young and not ready to retire. I feel my dogs are in good hands here. They are super busy so I make an appointment way ahead of time. But they do have urgent care appointment availability if needed.

We can't say enough about what an incredible establishment this is. Finding a clinic like this is rare. Dr. Cameron (and his staff) have cared for all three of our dogs over the years and we are more than grateful for the thorough, knowledgeable, heartfelt care at a more than reasonable cost. Dr. Cameron has provided a wide variety of services ranging from diagnosis to surgery. We know how deeply he cares for our animals. This community is truly fortunate.

I cannot recommend Mother Lode Veterinarian Hospital enough for their exceptional care and service. My recent visit to the hospital was prompted by my dog's unfortunate accident resulting in a broken foot. From the moment we walked in, the staff displayed an incredible level of kindness and professionalism. One thing that stood out to me was their efficiency. Despite being busy, they managed to attend to my dog promptly, ensuring quick and effective treatment. Moreover, the team was highly considerate of cost implications while delivering top-notch care. They discussed treatment options with me, ensuring that we found a solution that both addressed my dog's needs and kept expenses manageable. What truly impressed me was their dedication to providing compassionate care. They not only treated my dog's injury but also took the time to reassure and comfort both my pet and me throughout the process. I'm here to offer some praise and gratitude for Dr. Cameron and his team for handling my 120 lb mastiff mix Moose who is absolutely terrified of the vet. We have tried every trick under the sun to administer vaccines to Moose who will howl, flail, and do just about anything to get away. Dr. Cameron is able succeed where other vets have given up, thanks to his very special nature which is equal parts gentle and persistent. He makes an incredibly stressful situation for both me and Moose just a little bit easier and I am so grateful.

Our Dutch Shepherd got spooked when a neighbor set off fireworks near our house on Halloween, causing her to chew her way out of a metal crate. She had a broken k9 tooth with the root exposed, a few broken molars and one molar on the other side actually came out and left a painful hole in her gums. We were referred here by our vet and a friend who had a similar problem with her dog. The staff at Mother Lode were so kind and squeezed us in for a consult/treatment within less than a week. The quote the gave over the phone was very reasonable. Our pup had her surgery today and not only did they fix her k9 tooth (which was our main concern) they extracted the two broken molars that would have been a problem down the road and even stitched up the hole on the other side of her mouth so it would heal faster. They did a full cleaning and polish as well. I was very happy with how well they took care of our girl, and to my surprise even with all the extra work they did, the end cost was even less than their original quote! Absolutely fantastic clinic, I will be recommending to anyone who needs pet dental work in the future

I chose to go to Mother Lode for my dog after they provided excellent care to our cat. I have had consistent, excellent care, delivered with great concern and consideration. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic and wonder if some of these reviews are for some other location. My experience with Dr. Mario Dinucchi has been very positive over a number of years.

I ended up at Mother Lode after going to a different vet who found nothing wrong with my 1 yr old Dogue de Bordeaux puppy. Dr. Cameron went above and beyond during the treatment course. Unfortunately, the end result was not what we had hoped for, it wasn't due to the vet but to the illness, which Dr. Cameron showed so much respect to me and Bucky (dog). Each and every time I went or called the vet I had nothing but courteous and caring assistance - from the front desk to the technicians to the vets. Yes, they are busy, but that's because they care and spend the time needed to properly treat and learn about your individual pet's needs. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Dr. Cameron and everyone at Mother Lode.

these people are horrible and guess iwhat's wrong with your animal !! They take your animal from you and examine your animal without you in the room and then they say they perform these other test and then they charge you extra money I'm sure just to pay their salaries or wage. and then, when what they prescribe doesn't work, they wanna charge you more money to prescribe more stuff to cost you more money. they come up with these options and then they present it to you and then you have to pick and choose what you want to treat your dog or how you want to treat your animal. I have never been to a veterinary clinic like this, and I've never felt so violated. By veterinary clinic this is horrible. I will never take my animal there again.!!!!!!

Careful gentle evaluation of my English Bulldog puppy. Excellent information, diet, and OTC meds discussed. Mona is doing very well. Followed all of Dr. Paola's instruction to a T. Great efficient very friendly staff. I recommend these Vets!

First off let me start by saying the doctors and assistants are great. The main issue with this place is the lack of support staff at the counter and terrible customer service. I've never, ever, called here without being placed on hold for 10-20 minutes. When I show up on time for my appointments, I'm usually waiting for 15-20 minutes to get through the constant line at the counter and be seen. When your inside you'll notice the phone is constantly ringing and people are always waiting in line at the front counter to check in, check out, etc.

Called today, Saturday, and not only were they open but got my dog Bentley in for a same day urgent care appointment. Let me just say this my dog is very grouchy on a good day and can nip when he doesn't feel well. Natalie was very calm and still managed to treat him. They were very professional and very honest about all of the treatment options. Especially when telling us that the oral medication at $12 was just as good as the injection at $110. The entire office was great and would recommend them to everyone. Fast friendly and professional service. A++++

Top rate service although it's been tough as pet parent to not be able to go in with animals due to covid- some things got missed. For a super complicated surgery for my lab- we went to UC Davis for animals. But they worked together well for long term treatment. Great with our cats as well.

Thanks to Dr. Cameron and the whole staff for taking such great care of our darling Trixie! Not only were they caring and kind but the costs was less than they quoted, you can't beat that. We live an hour away from here but we will gladly make the trek again whenever one of our animals is in need. Love these guys!
