“More than just a grocery store.SPD's connection and involvement with life in Nevada County is evidenced by their continual community support of worthwhile projects that benefit everyone, even if you don't shop there. SPD also hires the handicapped and disabled, which requires extra management attention but they do so gladly because of a commitment to the community. It would be hard for me to justify not shopping there, if I could live locally again. SPD is First Class.”
“I was at McDonald's eating brunch and I needed deodorant so I went to Save Mart and lo and behold my brand was on sale. Thank you Save Mart for saving me a couple of bucks”
“Kindness goes a long way. We love "our little neighborhood market". But today the men who work there made a tough situation better for my family. Unfortunately my toddler vomited in the store. The guy behind the counter rushed him to the sink to be cleaned up and helped with a speedy checkout. As a parent it is horrifying when your kid unexpectedly pukes in public. Worried about the mess, judgment, and our child. But the guys working showed kindness and we will always remember that.”
“The store is old(er) but pretty clean. The vegetable selection was great and reasonably priced. The meat, cheese, and wine selection were very impressive. It's been about 9 years since I have been there. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and very welcoming”
