I had a super great experience at this store. Michelle was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about options, including how to accomodate high arches and other things. Recommend!

Went in to see if they carried a particular shoe, and the gentleman behind the counter acted like I was there to steal merchandise. They didn't have what I was specifically looking for, which is totally understandable, but he made no attempt to try and find something that would be a good alternative. Just felt like he wanted me out of the store, so I obliged. Went to another local business, and they were super helpful and went out of there way to find what I needed. Everyone has bad days of course, and this was just one experience. But for me, it turned me off from returning altogether.

Michelle made my first shopping experience at Empire fabulous! Her customer service skills are outstanding. Although she was with another customer she greeted me. During my visit she brought out six different shoes for me to try while she also assisted two other women. She was friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. Michelle was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. She made my shoe shopping fun and productive- I bought two pair of boots, even though my favorite brand did not have a style I wanted. I love Empire Shoes, and am glad they remain a Nevada County local business.

Bought a pair of 200$ boots. Heal was damaged in the first week. Was told by one employee to return them. Drive 60 miles to return them and was told no return or exchange because I damaged the boot. Normal wear shouldn't cause damage to a 200$ boot and they would not accept a return. Terrible service. Shop somewhere else!

Very profession. I purchased a pair of utility boots here maybe 4 months ago. Long story short they had gotten wet and shrunk about a half size(which I'm gonna blame keen for) even though they were water-resistant. Well I brought my old ones in and the gentleman swapped them for a fresh pair a half size up. I'm super pretentious about my feet so i was happy to leave happy. 5 stars thanks for the support!

It's nice to know there is quality store that sells great footwear with great service. I'd go back to buy shoes I don't really need!
