We've been with them for years with several of our dogs. But this last time in an emergency, we thought we were going to have to make the tough decision to put our little girl down. They came through figuring out what was wrong and, by the end of the day, saved her life. She's doing great and we can't thank the entire staff for everything they did.

Rich Jackson is fantastic! First time seeing him and he'll be our guy going forward. Our cat was calm with him and I liked the time he took to explain what he was finding as he examined her.

We had to put out cat down and these people were the best. I can't say enough about how caring and helpful they were. They went out of their way to make it as easy as possible for us.

They've taken care of my pets well over the years. The staff is friendly and there's plenty of parking. The only downside is trying to turn left out of the lot at certain times of the day since 174 can get busy.

I’m so glad I trusted these guys and let them pull some teeth from my small dog, Lucy. Her breath smells great, and she is happier and healthier. I have been afraid to let her go under general anesthesia for some thing like this, but my land me is a professional dog behavioralist, and he told me these guys are the best in the area.

The kindness and love that they consistently show my pets me makes every experience wonderful.

Money hungry!! Don’t agree to bring your dog in the same day you call or you’ll be charged an emergency visit fee of over $90 just for the visit.

Dr. Strolle & his staff are kind and compassionate with both the pet owners and the pets. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Dr. Strolle chose this field because of his genuine love of animals. Absolutely the best animal clinic in the Grass Valley area!

After 3 visits with my sr. dog who was yelping in pain getting up or down, with lumps around his backside, they declared "nothing wrong". The next vet we took him to in Colfax called it "stud tail" (because he'd never been neutered) and neutered him (a 12 year old German Shepard!)... he died of the cancer a week later, in pain, and without testacles. : - (Does anyone know of a good vet that actually looks at the lab results and takes xrays and cares? Im afraid to get another pet if I cannot find proper care - its too hard to deal with the regrets and loss.

These guys are still on COVID lockdown. You’d think someone with a microbiology degree would not be encouraging this fear mongering. Time to find a new vet.

I would not recommend this facility for your pets advanced medical needs. I have an advanced aged bulldog who has had known behavioral issues for most of her life. She has been well managed at all previous veterinary facilities. As a medically licensed veterinary facility, the staff should be highly trained in managing vulnerable pets who are scared and may exhibit behaviors. For example, if it was a human medical facility one would not report a patient with Dementia for acting out and harming a nurse. This is part of the liability of the job. Despite the staff having years of history of my dogs behaviors in the chart, they seemed surprised when she bit during a procedure. I don't even think they performed thorough chart review. Ultimately they reported my dog to animal control. The last time I will ever entrust a vulnerable pets care to this clinic. I am withdrawing all of my animals care from this facility and I do not recommend. It is important to intrust the care of your beloved pets to a clinic who performs chart review, takes necessary precautions, and is equipped to manage adverse behaviors. It's a vet office! Not a play/daycare for pets. Even my boarding facility is more equipped to manage dogs, they are animals after all and will protect in scary or unknown situations. I do not trust this facility to be well equipped or a professional setting. Find another vet office.

Very caring and work hard to fit you in even when they are busy.
