The Hispanic employee is USELESS and charged me two times for gasoline. When I notified her since I saw it pending on my bank statement she told me it would go away. I was charged both times and when I called they refuse to do anything about it. Her name is Eliza by the way, if any managers are watching she is not capable of doing her job and needs training.Don’t go to this station unless you want a headache trying to get your money back.

they never have paper for receipts at the pump. You always have to go in the store for your receipt. I think they never change the paper so you might buy something else in the store but it's so annoying especially if you have kids in the car. It is really the last time I'm using this gas station!

I went here for years until they doubled charged my debit card for fuel. After calling the debit card provider they said to ask the gas station for a refund on the 2nd double charge, instead the gas station just denied it was double charged even though I showed them on my phone. More than 72 hours has passed and they still have yet to refund me. Their phone number doesn't work, but rather leads to a fax machine. No website, or corporate line.I will gladly take down this post if they can refund my money.Never deal with crooks who refuse to refund your money when it's apparent there is a duplicate token code.Only use cash unless you are ok with them double charging you and doing nothing about it!UPDATE: 8/14/2023:The issue has FINALLY been resolved! The problem was with Square and their system, they admitted on the news that there was a double charging glitch and the refunds will be given. I have received my refund for the money lost and thankful that patience is a virtue. I am updating this bad review to a 5 star GOOD REVIEW since everything was brought to light.

Yesterday I was getting gas, I gave the lady 2 $20 bills and 4 $5 bills. $60.00The gas stopped at $50. I went back in, they said I gave 1 $20 and 5 $5. That doesn't even add up to $50. They told me they would check and call me. They never called. So I called. I ask if the register was over. She said it was short. And hung up on me. This store is a rip off. She was rude on the phone. Apparently they don't know how to count money. Beware of this gas station. I hope she enjoyed pocketing my $10.

We hit a huge tire that was in the car pool lane just before the Balboa off ramp on the 118.Air bags exploded, windshield broken, horn honking we limped across 4 lanes of traffic and off the Balboa ramp pulling into the Thrifty Gas Station & Mini Mart. Immediately Astrid who was working that day came out to offer us water, another man who happened to be at the gas station dis-connected the electrical to stop the horn honking, while another gentleman bought us water. It was close to 100 degrees, we had 2 dogs with us. Adan who was also working that day allowed me and our two labradors to sit inside the mini mart while we waited an 1 1/2 for a tow truck. We were pretty shaken up but Astrid and Adan's kindness really helped make a difference after the frightening experience we had just had. Mr. Harry, I am told you own Thrifty at Balboa...pls know you've got two very wonderful employees in Adan and Astrid!
