“Our daughter furst attended Co-op and now our son will be entering his 2nd year at co-op. We absolutely love the school, the sense of community, love and dedication is immense. It's a wonderful school with lots of parent involvement. The Teachers are wonderful and dedicated to the children. It's definitely a place you feel comfortable leaving your children knowing they'll be well cared for”

“We appreciate the time our child spent at Bethlehem. If you are deciding on a preschool for your child, look no further. This school has a friendly Administrative team, great teachers and a health, happy and kid friendly learning environment. The school is clean and offers a safe zone for the children to learn, advance and grow. It helps them to prep for Elementary School and I would recommend a great start at Bethlehem. Thank you Bethlehem for helping to raise our child.”

“Our family loves this school. Our kids have been going here since preschool, except for the 1 year one of our children went to El Oro (that was a disaster and we immediately came back). The staff and teachers are all wonderful. They're friendly and very responsive to phone calls and emails. The Principal (Mrs. Jones) is very involved in the school and children's lives. Some days, you'll see her at the carline helping load or unload students. The curriculum is balanced and strong. The students get the core topics (math, science, history, etc), and they also receive Spanish, art, music, PE, and computers. Students get to pick electives such as band, choir, and government. We like that the students go to Chapel weekly and that the Bible is taught regularly. The school offers extracurricular sports as well, such as soccer and additional instrumental lessons such as violin and piano. They offer multiple field trips, projects, and festivals (harvest festivalis great!). The administration always keeps good communication with emailed updates and letters sent home. Tuition is reasonable, and they have financial aid. The student population is diverse. It makes me sad reading the previous negative comments. I just don't see the school behaving that way. And for anyone complaining about this being a Christian school....well duh, it's a Christian school! It says so in the name. If you don't believe in Christianity, don't review against it; that's not the school's fault.”

“I highly recommend KinderCare Granada Hills, my son attended Discovery Preschool with Ms. Juliett, she was so caring and sweet and a great teacher. My son was treated well and was happy when I picked him up, and the easy dropoff/pickup and flexible hours are great. We also had a good experience with Thania during the tour and the signup. The app with photos and descriptions of activities and food is awesome.”

“2023 Update:this past year my son was in TK at granada or rather their preschool program. I know the district has vastly opened free tk programs since covid... but if you can swing it, parents, granada... hands down, is an investment in your child.Granada focuses on phonics as oppose to LAUSD which is common core (which misses foundational instruction). Phonics helps build knowledge and a solid base in the alphabet, writing and language. I am confident my son can move on to kinder where he can now use this solid foundation to dive more in depth into curriculum.Class sizes was 1 to 12. Since Covid, the school opted to only have one teacher in each class, which means... he had 12 kids in his class all year. LAUSD, teacher contract does not stipulate class size for the tk program. Many tk programs in LAUSD are being merged with PALS (special ed tk) doubling the size of the class, 50% having an iep.Director is easy to contact. Ms.Kathy overtly offers her cell number to families. Of course, you may also email or call the school directly.Fun activities throughout year- pump splash- pizza party- water slides- easter Bunny- summer swimming- school cat margrave joins in,- ...they celebrate everything!Look. I am an LAUSD teacher, i know more than i posted here about the district tk program.I am wrapping up my 4th and final year with Granada and will recommend it over and over, compared to anything LAUSD is offering.Kind Faculty. Friendly environment... and somehow always feels 10 degrees cooler on their shady campus. If you are looking for a preschool where you really get to build connections with other families.. Granada is for you.Past post: 2020Granada Preschool is welcoming and truly cares about the community and culture they work hard to foster. I transitioned my toddler here once he turned 2; the school allowed me to bring my son a few times before actually starting. I found their program was a pleasant mix of structured activities and free play. The kids spend LOTS of time outside; the school has three lovely playgrounds that are age appropriate and a few animals (turtles, rabbits, chickens). My son adapted quickly. His verbal skills grew over night and his sense of independence skyrocketed. My son comes home happy every day; he is excited to go to school. In recent months the school closed down due to Covid-19/local mandates; Weekly, the school had drive-by hellos and passed out ice cream on hot days or fresh strawberries. Even as the school planned to reopen, they were open and thoughtful of their plan to keep the kids and staff safe. I’m looking forward to the next few years here.”

“Overall really pleased with this school. We got our daughter in on a lottery after having read terrible reviews and talking to parents for our local district assigned school. Our son got in on legacy since his sister goes there.TK and K were amazing for my daughter. Teachers were so kind and caring. They actually cared about their students.1st grade was awful. Teacher yelled and cursed.2nd grade was Covid remote learning and daughter LOVED it,3rd grade was mostly good. Had an issue with bullying and really didn't appreciate the teachers approach which was pulling my daughter and the bully out of class to "hug it out" Who the heck puts a victim in the same room as the accuser and expect the victim to say anything? Right there in front of their abuser? Thankfully the front office and administration took it seriously and took steps to minimize contact between my daughter and her bully, which was much appreciated.4th grade was mostly good. Our daughter's home room / primary teacher wasn't the best, a bit passive aggressive and wasn't always as supportive of the kids as a teacher should be but good thing was daughter split her time with three teachers, two of which she loved. We'll see what 5th grade brings! For my son:TK was awful. They had just gone fully remote due to Covid. His teacher was the worst. Think she may have come our of retirement. I sat next to my son every day during class and that teacher had daily issues with the technology and managing her class. There would be times we would just sit there listening to some students story about what happened to them rather than any educating going on. That and she was religious ( not bad) but frequently preached to the students about Jesus and God and religion. Again, I'm okay with people being religious but not to TK students in a public school during education hours. She was not retained the following year which was great for incoming students but not my son.K was amazing. He had the same amazing teacher as my daughter had. So kind and loving and you knew she truly cared about the kids.1st grade they tried to place my son under the awful teacher my daughter had. We were having none of that and protested to the administration. They were very accommodating and transferred him to another class where he thrived.Overall very satisfied with this school, the teachers, the administrators, and the staff. The principal is very hands in, always walking around engaging with students, teachers, and parents. My elementary principal you only saw her if you were in trouble so +1 for the principal here.”
