“The trip was awesome! We had Randy as our private guide, and he definitely is a unique character. I wouldn’t be surprised if I see him in one of Taylor Sheridan’s show one day. My family is visiting soon, and I’m definitely taking them here!”

“Have eaten there twice in the last week. Our servers great and excellent. The food was extremely good. The burger was medium rare both times, which is hard to find and the fries were crisp and flavorful.”

“My senior band members and I have been volunteering /performing at the Senior Center for more than ten years now. We feel so welcomed and so at home at this place. We enjoy singing oldies but goodies music to the delight of our senior friends. I'm personally grateful that we have this place available to fellowship with seniors. ( Thursdays from ten am to one pm). I am giving a commendation to Charles who manage the center and to Claudia who is the Activities Manager ( she is efficient and amiable). Now that the global pandemic is over, I call on fun loving and healthy seniors to come to GVCC senior center (after it's renovated) and have fun with us.”

“The Goleta Valley Community Center is a great local venue for local concerts and other performances. The center also has pickleball courts that are available to the community. These are few of the many activities and resources available which include opportunities for kids to seniors to partake in.”

“We had a recent summer wedding at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm and it was an amazing event!Pros:-The venue is a really unique space and especially great if you love plants and animals-It's an awesome setting/backdrop for gorgeous photos!-The ceremony site is private, quiet, and super picturesque-Beth is very responsive and easy to work with-The reception greenhouse is a blank slate to create the wedding of your dreams!-The ranch house is included for day-use and was recently updatedCons:-Quite expensive, especially since you have to bring everything in and work with a ton of different vendors (including dumpsters, restrooms, kitchen equipment, etc. if needed)-The venue is pretty rustic - sandy ground and occasional bugs (but that's what you sign up for by choosing it)-Similarly, the on-site bathrooms are no-frills - we brought in our own soap, hand towels, candles/diffusers, etc. to "elevate" it-Getting lucky with weather is key - if rainy, water would get into the reception greenhouse, and if super hot, the greenhouse can get really hot”

“I moved out of the LOOP a few months ago, but I just got an email from management saying that they are now opening the 5th floor outdoor deck to the public for private event rentals. They are advertising the swanky outdoor event venue as "The Sky Deck". I wish they would have had this option when it came time for my graduation party; it would have been perfect! There are such awesome views of the ocean unlike anywhere in Isla Vista. I would definitely recommend the deck for events.”
