Pet House
5781 Calle Real, GoletaI love buying my dogs treats here! The staff is always friendly. Sometimes they run out of my dog's favorite treats (he's picky lol) and the staff is always open to giving me a call when they receive more. It makes it easier and I don't have to order online!

The Trimnasium Dog grooming
5915 Calle Real suite f, GoletaFriendly staff. Great hair cut. Cute little accessory after the cut. Cost is $70 + tip for my medium sized dog. Reasonable price and I like the scheduled appointment (as opposed to any time drop off style where the dog could be there all day).

The Little Dog House
5758 Hollister Ave, GoletaVery good talented groomers.
I have been taking my Lhasa Apso Shih Tzu mix to them for years.
Their staff is very friendly to me and my dog who they know by name.
I trust them to not only groom but look out for my dog.
There prices are a lot higher now.
It would be nice if they offered discounts to frequent customers.

Perfect Puppy Academy
733 Carpinteria Street, Santa BarbaraAnne Swan is by far the best trainer in town. Whether you want a perfect home companion, or a dog to compete with, Anne has the experience to me all your needs. She advocates positive reinforcement training techniques and every dog that has taken a class from her absolutely adores her. There’s no need for choke chains, prong or shock collars when you work with an experience trainer like Anne Swan.

Santa Barbara Fish Market Goleta Market & Restaurant
7127 Hollister Ave Ste. 18, GoletaThe best thing here imho is the fresh Santa Barbara sea urchin/uni. They prep and open it up after you place the order. The only way to get it fresher is to harvest them yourself! It really didn't need lemon juice, or any of the sauces or what not. If it's fresh, what you'll taste is the bright, sweet yet briny natural flavor. (I prefer it straight up plain, or topped on some rice and wrapped with nori, or even better, smoked for a quick moment!) Anyway, that was absolutely the highlight of this meal. The clam chowder was good, I would say 3.5 out of 5 stars, I've definitely have had better tasting clam chowder elsewhere, but almost want to bump it up to 4 for bonus points because their version had respectable chunks of seafood (and not potatoes) in every spoonful! No need to search for the seafood, it is jam packed with it. The mahi mahi sandwich was maybe also 3.5 out of 5 because I'm comparing it to a 5 out of 5 mahi mahi we recently had in Hawaii. We enjoyed dining outside in their outdoor dining area, while it was still bustling during lunch, I don't recall seeing anyone else sitting inside (it is Santa Barbara - well, this is technically Goleta, but the weather is mild year round). Would definitely come back and try other shellfish, and would love to try the lobster roll as well.

Centennial Beer Hall
5871 Hollister Ave, GoletaI have to admit that it took me a few visits before I gave this place the respect it deserves. I get attached to places that are established. I remember this space all the way back to when it was Gus's. But when it became The Mercury, I eventually had some of my favorite moments in my adult life here. Now, as the Centennial Beer Hall, this place continues to offer adults a wonderful place to visit with friends and family. Here's what sets the Hall apart from the previous two places that occupy this great space: First, it is now clutter free. If you feel more comfortable with fewer distractions, you'll love the elegance and simplicity of this space. Second, it is now a place for the the most discerning of beer lovers. I don't know of any place in town with an owner and staff who know more about beer. And that's saying something in a town that includes outstanding breweries and tap rooms. It is just a pleasure to geek out about beer here. If you are the type of person who loves to learn, this is your library of hops, malts, and techniques. You will arrive as a watery brew and leave as a learned Pliny the Elder. Just start asking questions. Finally, I am paying attention to the new parking and access along Hollister with the Project Connect going on. It is a GREAT time to spend your hard earned dollars in Old Town. All of the businesses are open and it's important that they all thrive. The project is going to make it difficult at times to get to the Beer House, but it is already evident that Hollister is much more safe and "chill" than before. So give it a chance. If you want to have a great experience NOW, then use a bicycle or eBike. I am looking forward to spending more time this summer on Hollister and, specifically, at the Centennial Beer Hall. Cheers!

Kyle's Kitchen
5723 Calle Real, GoletaThe BEST sliders I have ever had!!! Eating here made me realize how little attention other places pay to their bread because the bread here is quite outstanding (crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside). The sauces they use for the respective slider fillings are amazing and go so well with it. Also, try the chimichurri fries while you're here !! This is a great spot for a quick casual lunch or if you're ever driving through town. Whoever Kyle is knows what's up!!

7398 Calle Real #G, GoletaGreat game watching spot for Sunday football. Prices are very reasonable and service is awesome. A full breakfast and lunch menu is available from Home Plate next door. You can tell this bar is a local hangout for many football fans, but I felt welcome as a newby too. The pizza seemed super popular and looked delicious, they also had some unique combos.

The Nugget Bar & Grill
5687 Calle Real, GoletaI'm from San Diego and came up to surf w my son who goes to UCSB. Surfed Rincon and wanted some hearty food. Didn't disappoint. I had the homemade meatloaf. Wished it was bigger portion but the mashed potatoes and boiled veg made up (I'm low carb so wanted more meat). My son had burger and it was decent. They seem to have lots of variety.
