Needed to rent a U-Haul- Google said they close at 5. I then get a call from Goleta motors asking when I’ll be in to pick up. He called three times rudely, pressing me that he closes at 2:00 not 5:00. I leave from Santa Barbara to meet him at his shop, call and explain I’m on my way, he acknowledges this- I get there approximately 5mins later- and he locks me out. Called U-Haul to cancel the reservation.
Probably shouldn’t be handling U-Haul- stick to selling used cars.
Terrible.

The business was very unprofessional when it came to getting the vehicle. They also overcharged us 4x of the original price for gas when we returned the vehicle. In addition, when we attempted to call the business and prove that we drove less than what they charged us for, they ignored us and disregarded our opinion. They charge customers for the gas that they do not even use. I do not recommend renting from this location.

We lost our car in a flash flood here in Santa Barbara in January and After searching for a car for weeks up until mother's day we found the best "newish" used -- spiffy 2008 Dodge Caliber 261000 miles on it so I did my research on the car. The main concerns where suspension, struts and AC, so I asked Mr Khaled H Hassoun about it and he told us the car was in "excellent condition," never been in an accident, and specifically told me that the AC and the struts and suspension were in excellent condition and that he just replaced the headers and then did a lot of work on the car. While this all sounds like a car enthusiast's dream, it's about to turn into a nightmare because the day after proudly drive off the lot, not a care in the world other than getting ready to commute for work to Bakersfield and back. The very next day driving the car and noticed the car was sure squeeky when driving over any bumps and the ac worked but did not get cold. So I took it to a machanic and was told I needed new struts and suspension and my ac serviced. Mr Khaled lied to us and scammed us. I went to contact Mr Khaled on Facebook market place where he had the car up for sale and noticed he had removed the car as sold but also noticed he had dropped the price to the car from $3800 down to $2000 but still charged us $4100. Wth right? Mr Khaled H Hassoun of Goleta Motors... I've done my part in trying to notify you and provide you with an opportunity to correct the situation... I just can't believe after all my attempts I still can't get you to reply. I've not seen or heard from him since the day of the sale. You'll be happy to know that you win. You knew our situation. I wanted to try approaching you as a human being and appeal to you on a human level. Ask you to do what is morally right. "Rarely in life can we make a wrong right, but now is one of those opportunities." I was legitimately scammed by a you Khaled H Hassoun was clearly not being truthful with us. This is illegal. It is unlawful and is known as fraud or misrepresentation. We are protected under consumer law and can choose to file a lawsuit with the help of an auto fraud attorney. Yet we can't afford one. So now what do we do ? I'm about to lose my job and Mr Khaled could care less. This is my lively hood. He's refusing to be human and just do what's right.

Khaled H Hassoun you've ignored all my efforts to resolve this situation. I've clearly set out the problems we have discovered in the vehicle. Problems you said weren't a problem. I have also clearly outline what I want you to do to correct the situation. I've been completely reasonable; the problem is fundamental, rendering the vehicle virtually useless, i am consider asking to unwind the deal, getting my money back upon the return of the vehicle to you. We bought the car for work to commute to Bakersfield and back. This is effecting my lively hood and your completely ignoring us. This is creating a domino effect in my life this is not only going to affect my job it's going to affect my home not being able to pay rent I can't even pay my phone bill right now and you are ignoring us. How professional is this?
