Called my primary care provider office of 30+ years for an annual physical exam. The earliest they can book me is 5 months out even with PPO. Unbelievable! Looking to change to a new clinic and parting way with my good doctor. Ever since Health Care Partners Medical Group was bought by Optum Medical Group, everything just went down hill. Requesting an appointment is horrendously long now for any type of services, the time spent with the doctor is way too short and so many new faces which is an indicator that employees are leaving. Wake up Optum or your patients too will be leaving.

This review is mainly about my experience these last 3 years with Optum and it's Urgent care also.First i had many appts cancelled because of the Covid stuff fine thats Ok past 3 years. When i finally got to see someone i felt that my situation was not taken seriously by the women doctors atGlemdora and lousy Urgent care also on grand ave.My last visit i was trying to explain my situation that most of it was due to juggling a full time job and taking care of my elderly father.I tried asking for FMLA time so i can breath and take care of my father's needs , and take care of my self , but instead i was ignored and told to go talk to a therapist and maybee put on wacko medicationNews Flash i am a nornal hard-working person who just needs some time off to help take care of an elderly fathers needs that does not nake me a nut who needs to ralk to someone.Thats not gonna help me magically creat time for all the things i have to run around, and do i barely had time to even come in on the last visit what a waste of time.PS this has nothing to do with Dr. Hakimeh he is a wonderful doctor , but because of the pandemic situation he was always booked the last 3 years plus my overwhelming work and life schedule.PS this is for my urgent care experience thier is evidence that my mid spine was causing nerve pain in my pointer finger ,and constant pain in my right shoulder blade for months when i asked could i get some time off work she basically laughed , and said your not gonna get time off for this you need to lose some weight. Many of ny coworkers have gotten time off for much lesser health situations. As a so called essential worker for the last 33 years i honestly last couple of years feel like nobody cares about us so called hero's who kept on working.

This office is poorly managed, I had appointment and they waited till I was in waiting room to tell me the y needed to change it. Their story changed from doctor is running behind with other patients when clearly office was empty, when I challenged it they said it’s because my daughter was 16 and the doctor does not see that age. They did not know that when I made appointment even though first thing they ask for is birthdate??

My first experience with this company was a delightful medical associate who's name is Marge. She spent almost an hour on the phone jumping thru every hoop imaginable to help me. Thank you Marge. You made a hard situation tolerable.

Dr w. Doesn't want to do many tests. I begged him to. Now 1.5 years later I have major problems with my blood and it could have been caught back then!!!! :(

They have been my PCP for few years. However I am not happy with them now. I was sick with cough and cold. I called the office for appointment. They would not see me. They did video call and prescribed antibiotics. I was still sick. It was not Covid. I called again and they wouldn't see me and asked me to go to Urgent care. They said some ca code doesn't allow them to see me I got sick again after 2 months. Same scenario again they wouldn't see me in person even though I was Covid negative. Once again they said to go to urgent care because of some ca health department code they can't see me in person. I went to their urgent care. Doctor said I don't need anything and I will be fine. But I was still coughing. So I went to another doctor. She prescribed antibiotics and I am okay I called Optum 3 times to give me the code that doesn't allow them to see me. They wouldn't call back and finally after 3 weeks they said that it was their office protocol. Not some CA code. They lied Now it's been 3 weeks since I have requested my medical records be transferred to my new doctor. No response. Very very poor service. The doctor is okay. But if I can't see her what is the purpose to have them as my PCP. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone So I called and

While the doctors are generally good, it is often like running a massive obstacle course just to get information or patient care. A follow up to a doctors visit to find out test results and understand next steps involved a 55 minute hold, conversation with 5 different individuals who each asked for all the same information- patient name, dob, address, phone number, health insurance. Even after repeating this info 5 times it was impossible to speak to a healthcare professional and get any answers. Such an ordeal will certainly make a sick person sicker. The lack of responsiveness and follow through was appalling. My daughter has had abdominal pain for a week and saw the doctor on Monday and had several tests done on Mon and Tue. We were told we would get a call on wed with next steps based on test results. When we didnt hear back and she was still in pain I called and went through the ordeal above. Instead of connecting me to a nurse who could provide information on test results they said the doctor was ob leave and I should take her to the ER!

I've been with this provider since 2005 when they were Healthcare Partners. We had some fine doctors here over the years but over the past 3 years, it's gotten really bad. You can no longer see your Doctor unless you make an appointment 3 or more months into the future. They only give you nurse practitioners or you may get lucky and get a phone or zoom meeting with a doctor who isn't your PCP. They usually just tell you to go to urgent care, which is not very good. You can't even get into the building anymore. After 18 years, I've had enough and will look for a new doctor in 2024. This place gives terrible service and should be avoided like the plague.

DR PATRICK JOSEPH ALIX should not work with elders!! Not only does he have poor delivery but also no patience - how is that possible with elder patients??? After today, I am currently looking for another office to transfer my father to them prior to us. We had two other doctors in the last seven years almost with nothing but the best experience from both unfortunately one retire and the other move to another office so we got literally stuck with Dr. Alix. Warning to any family or patients do not deal with him. I will also be contacting Optum corporate.

Before the pandemic we started going here to see the pediatrician for our children. The staff was reasonable and the Dr. was fantastic! He was capable and warm, and really would read ahead for each visit and ask about things we discussed the year prior. Now, the office staff has appeared to go downhill or at least get so mired in policy and rules that we cannot receive reasonable care. When my daughter was sick - they won't see sick kids and their whole plan is 'go to urgent care.' Okay, then why have a pediatrician if urgent care is 'good enough'? Oh and we asked for the dr to follow Up and it took a week to get a call back. At that point out kid was well and back at school. Now even for a well kid visits, you have to be symptom free. It's the winter cold season - when will I ever have both of my kids healthy and cough free? Coughs have to be two weeks in the past. How do I schedule an appointment?? I understand and appreciate Covid precautions, but come on! Do a reasonable screening - not a draconian list of 10 things and then ask us to reschedule. Also, if you are going to be so rigid, call or text for a pre screening. My dentist figured this out 2 years ago! I guess it's time to find a new provider.
