I recently had an unfortunate experience with Verdugo Pet Grooming in Glendale, and I must say that it left a lot to be desired. I have to give this establishment a 0 star rating due to the unprofessional behavior I witnessed during my visit. First and foremost, I was deeply disturbed by the way the groomer handled the dogs in their care. As a customer, I had the opportunity to witness firsthand how the groomer would yell at the dogs in their cages and even resort to hitting the cage in frustration. This blatant mistreatment of the animals was not only shocking but also highly distressing. It is completely unacceptable to subject innocent animals to such harsh treatment, especially in a place that should prioritize their safety and well-being. Furthermore, the groomer's behavior escalated whenever a customer would enter the establishment. Instead of maintaining a calm and welcoming environment, they would become visibly agitated and take out their frustrations on the poor dogs. This unprofessional conduct created an uncomfortable atmosphere and left me questioning the integrity of the establishment as a whole. As a pet owner, I believe it is crucial to entrust our beloved companions to caring and compassionate professionals who prioritize their welfare. Unfortunately, Verdugo Pet Grooming failed to meet even the most basic standards of animal care and customer service. I strongly advise potential customers to consider alternative options in the Glendale area that prioritize the well-being of animals and provide a safe and nurturing environment. In conclusion, my experience at Verdugo Pet Grooming was deeply disappointing. The groomer's behavior towards the dogs was nothing short of appalling, with yelling and hitting of cages being commonplace. Such mistreatment of animals is completely unacceptable and speaks to a lack of professionalism and empathy. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for pet grooming services in Glendale.

I’m just inquiring for their price of grooming and the person who answered me was so rude. If you can’t answer an inquiry with a good customer service. I bet you also have a bad service

The owner is a very honest and caring person for animals. He saved my dogs life. I've been coming here for over 10 years now. I went in today and found out my dog had ticks all over!! I was terrified, and in shock as I try to maintain great hygiene for my pet by brushing her, and washing her in between grooming appointments. She is a white poodle mixed with maltise. So when she has fleas I could see them right away! Back story: I have skunks moved into my property and created a den which I'm guessing is where my dog somehow had ticks all over her paws and her body. Good news because of Arsen my dog is happy and healthy again. We are very VERY grateful!

This place is trash. Took our dog there for the first time and they completely shaved him to the point where they nicked him all over his body. They were told to cut his hair around his face short but instead left that long and his entire body shaved all the way down. They left him looking like a rat. On top of that when asked how long it would take the owner responded in a rude manner as though I should know how long it takes. Then when it was time to pay they hit you with the "we only take cash." We will definitely not be returning.

PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!! The owner is very rude and seems to mishandle our pups. I brought my dog here and when I got him back he had multiple cuts and nicks from how roughly they shaved him. I wanted a short cut but instead they shaved him down basically to the bone. Terrible customer service. I thought the owner was rude to me only to find out he treated my dog ten times worse. Bringing your pet here is the equivalent of animal cruelty.

Great place! ... my pup looks so good. The man in charge was knowledgeable and friendly. He gave great advice and really went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable with leaving Pounce. When we picked him up he was shining and looked great see before and after photo.

Owner/and only worker is not a very nice guy. I adopt seniors, so they don’t have to pass away in shelters. Groomer refused to take him saying the dog was too old. Never heard of someone who works with animals that is that heartless. Took my little fur baby home and groomed him myself. I wouldn’t trust this guy with my animals.

No no no. The owner is so terrible to the animals. I read a review that the animals getReturned more disciplined. Probably because he abuses them if they misbehave.He is so angry. He quotes u a price and charges u a different price. I’ve given him many chances. Only time I see him smile is one day I tipped him $20 just to be nice because he seemed miserable. Then he was a complete j*** to me the next time I went. Horrible man.

Guy doesn't even deserve one star. Grumpy owner/ only worker. I adopt senior dogs so they don't have to pass away in the shelter. I brought my senior dog here. He looked at my dog in disgust and told me my dog was too old and refused to bathe him. Would u ever trust a person like that around your animal. How sad for him. All my senior needed was to be shaved down from the heat. He does nothing but sleep and bathe in the sun. I took him home and groomed him myself. Vile man. Please avoid this place.

Best pet groomer ever! I have a havanese and his hair gets super long super quick. His hair also gets matted sometimes. Every time I take him here for a grooming, it looks great! It is very easy for groomers to make it too short, but he always does a fabulous job.

So happy with this place's haircuts for both my cat and dog! It was my cat's first grooming ever and I was worried about how he would handle it but the owner is so experienced that it wasn't an issue at all. My cat looked so cute and his fur was so soft and smelled great. Very happy with my dog's cut too and they both got dental cleanings! I am so glad I found this place! Would 100% recommend.

I have no issues with the quality of his work. But I’m put off by the pricing. I have a small dog, a lhasanese, and today for a short fur cut (nothing special requested) and a bath I paid 60 bucks. I went to him maybe two years ago and he charge 45 for the same dog. There’s no pricing listed and it seemed his pricing is very variable. I asked him whether his prices went up and he says “ all the prices is going up like bread etc”. So I asked him, how much would you charge a medium size dog, and he says “65, it depends”. Every business gets to dictate their price. But from the other reviews they claim that his pricing is reasonable. From this experience, I don’t believe it is. I’ll just wash my dog myself. I just wanted to have a good grooming for my dog because my mom was going to take her for the weekend and I wanted her perfect and I wanted to use my time doing some errands. I don’t want to do this again - not for 60 bucks, again on a small low maintenance dog.

When my original pet groomers forgot to schedule my appt, I googled another grooming place and came across this one. He took me in right away and I am so happy that I found this place. At first Mr. Arsen might come off as rude but many don't understand that his rudeness comes from when the dogs aren't being taken care of correctly by their owners since he genuinely cares about them. My dogs teeth were in bad shape, he was a recent rescue so you can only imagine. But Mr. Arsen definitely knows what his doing. I've never seen my dog so clean after the groomers. He charged a fair fee and was very nice and knowledgeable. It wasn't a rush of "bring your dog in, give me your money and go" it was more of him educating me on how to take care of my dog. He isn't there for the money, his there for the love he has for animals. I will definitely take my dog here from now on.
