I was looking for a particular sort of small bowl, with other items, needed for a gift. The kind of gentle, old world, charming design that is all too lacking in present day. There was such a place years ago on Los Feliz Road in Glendale, across from Glendale Memorial. No more. I googled Internet and found just the right place. Surprise! After years of driving along San Fernando Road on my way to Burbank and elsewhere, and taking my animals to a nearby Veterinary Hospital, I never knew the secret that Garfield held: THE DISH DEPOT! I walked in and I was like the kiddo in the candy shop. Magical. I was greeted and assisted, sincerely and politely, right away. There is a cornucopia of delightful dishware, cups and saucers, pitchers, tiny sauce bowls, teapots, individual manicotti gondolas, platters, curios, rooms filled with the charm of yesteryear, in and on which I prefer to serve my kitchen creations/ offerings. We have lost too much of our humanity, our good, strong values. These pieces, each one a treasure, are the gentle, beautiful artworks for the dining table, friends and family, that help us to nourish ourselves and our families, renew our joy and add to the colorful tapestry of what is our life and country. Although this great variety of antique dishes, et al. are mass produced, they all came from single human ideas of artistry. From the heart! Life is hard if you get out and struggle and live it. If you can also gather 'round the table with dear ones, partake of your meal on elegant simple dishware that showcases your repast, you strengthen again what is good in your blessed life. You will find abundant possibilities for this at DISH DEPOT.

I was initially looking for a new sauce pot and found so much more! I found Asian soup spoons and silicone coated tongs for incredible prices. I didn't see the sauce pot I wanted so I paid for what I'd found and asked the owner (?) if he carried what I was looking for and he took me to "the rest" of the store in the back that I thought was just storage for what was out front. He had a sauce pot a little bigger than I needed, but I bought it anyway. He also let me grab 2 coffee mugs of my choice because it was my first time there. He also threw in the Asian soup spoon I was looking for! This will DEFINITELY be my kitchen supply go to from now on.

Went there looking for some attachments for a mixer, they didn't have any. A lot of what looks like old dishes from yard sales or restaurants that closed down. So if you looking for dishes and utensils this might be a place to check out, but there is also another store about a mile or two away that had a lot more variety of everything and was cleaner and had staff that could help.

Sam is the greatest! Nice and helpful. Personable. The prices are reasonable and the quality is great. He doesn't pressure you at all and allows you to take your time in browsing his inventory. Parking is no issue. Nearby breweries too!

Sam was so helpful and I left with so many great items to use for my catering business. He also gave me samples of small dishes I was not sure were large enough. He told me to give them a try! Will definitely be back and have told many others about this place

Never even thought of checking this area out. A great affordable way to get restaurant style kitchenware and dining sets. I got two simple white ramen bowls for $5 each. Cash is king.
