I recently purchased a 2025 Subaru Forester from Subaru of Glendale, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Chris G, who assisted us, was exceptional. His patience, knowledge, and kindness made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Unlike other dealerships, Chris did not pressure us into making a decision, which was a refreshing change.
The outstanding customer service didn’t stop with Chris. The manager, Lane, and the gentleman in finance also contributed to a seamless experience. I highly recommend Subaru of Glendale to anyone in the market for a new vehicle, and I would definitely suggest reaching out to Chris for a no-pressure, informative buying experience.

This is for the service department. They were condescending to my wife who actually knows how to service cars, they failed to do an oil change and blamed my wife, once they put back on someone else's tire and blamed my wife when she complained it was driving weird, they either lied or did a poor job in replacing the short block after identifying an oil consumption issue, and there's more. We finally had enough and went to Subaru Pacific when it opened up. They took care of us, dealt with Subaru themselves, and fixed everything (including replacing the short block that had supposedly already been replaced). We're still getting serviced at Pacific. We went to Glendale because of the convenient location but we'll never go back unless they've had new management since then. I'm not sure why Google took down my previous review.

Go to Sherman Oaks.
The manager at Glendale, Alvin, was rude, dismissive and belittling. He stood with his back to me while talking about me to my service advisor. The advisor told him my issues and he said “so what does he want me to do about it?”. I think my advisor took this as a cue that he could be rude too, and was for the rest of our visit. I felt they had missed some issues with my car during its routine scheduled maintenance, mainly that my tires were getting quickly worn unevenly and were dangerous to drive on. I was told curtly “we don’t babysit tires. It’s all in your service printout, you should read it” when asked if I should have been informed about this sooner. Maybe he’s right, and it’s not their job to tell me when I need an alignment, or when my tires are dangerously and unevenly worn. But the way I was treated when I tried to ask questions led me to believe this is standard operating procedure for Glendale Subaru. I called the customer advocacy number and they were appalled and took care of me, and I took their advice: go to a different dealer! And you should, too. Sherman Oaks is great!

Bought my car back in 2021, had troubles with the car at first. First, was the battery then it would not start but then they fixed it. Was told I would receive my second key fob in the mail and every time I would call they would either tell me they would mail it or come by to the dealership(which I did) to not receive it. Pretty bad experience. Did not receive the help and still in 2024 no second Key.

Subaru or Glendale is a great dealer. I still bring my car here sometimes--but you better make an appointment. They are often booked a week or more in advance. Also? Just for info . . . I recently went here to get a new key fob for my 2024 Forester. It took roughly 4-5 weeks from order to pickup. So keep that in mind if you need a new key fob. It was not the dealer's fault in any way. But it turns out they have to order the fob and the inner key has to be cut to match your VIN. All that is what can take so long to get it replaced.

Worse vehicle buying experience ever. If you are looking for honest sales people that can keep their word, this isn't the place. I dealt with Chris G, who knew I loved 90 minutes away, and played the classic "bait and switch" scam. We agreed on a deal, which I have documented, and once we arrived, he said he couldn't follow through and gave me a new offer. He took up four hours of my day and flat out lied. In all my car buying experiences I've never been lied to, that is until now. So just a heads up, a deal with these people, even in writing, can be taken back.
