Just hit 10k on my 23' CX-50. The splash cover under the engine at the bottom of the vehicle is broken. It appears to be made of that egg carton material, and the dealer says it is not covered under warranty. Mazda says this vehicle is 'offroad ready'. 1 star for the non responsiveness of the service writer Sam, but the service manager called me when he heard that no one answered my calls, so there's the 2nd star. He then told me he'd ask Mazda to see if they'll cover it. This was last Wednesday, and I'm still waiting for the word from Mazda. ** Update: It's now September 10 and I have not heard back from the service manager... maybe I need to remove 1 star?

My experience was with salesman Raymond Cadena at Mazda. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I did not feel pressured during my visit. I got the impression that he genuinely cared about my situation and the purchasing of a vehicle. If you are questioning if you need a vehicle or have reservations, ask for him and/or make an appointment with him if you want someone genuine.

We opened the store door and walked in today, but no one was there to welcome us. We had to go directly to the employee, greet them first, and tell them that we were interested in the MX-5 car.
He ended by saying, “So, what are you curious about?” (I never spoke first)
Even though I kept asking questions, the staff responded by asking why I was asking obvious questions. I also asked if I could see inside the car, and they said they couldn't show me inside because all the cars were sold, but 3 cars were unsold.
After that, he just touched his phone and when we told him we were just leaving, he said he would understand haha.
If you don't want to sell cars and customers are annoying, I hope you don't work in service ^^
The worst service I've ever received in my life

Great customer service. Johnny really helped us look for the right car. It took us a week to find it and he was always there calling and helping us find the right one. I live in Lancaster Ca and looked around other Dealers and Glendale Mazda was the one that actually cared and listened to what we needed in a vehicle. Price, quality and service is a 10+. Thank you Johnny

Tried calling the parts department to get a quote on parts 5 or 6 times today. Each time I either went to voicemail or the phone system hung up on me. Tried calling again and talked to someone who took my number and said someone in the parts department would call me back. I never got a call back. What a terrible parts experience. I'll be calling the Puente Hills Mazada instead. Hopefully, I'll have a better experience.

Called ahead to ensure I could test drive a Miata they had, it wasn't 100% the spec I wanted but maybe 80% of what I wanted. They ensured me to just go there and they would take care of me.
I drive 30 minutes to arrive, walk into the sales floor, no one even greeted. I had to go to the desk of a salesman to ask.
Once I explained what was interested in, the guy is like "well since it's not the car you truly want, we can't let you test drive it. It's our policy with our Miatas" I almost laughed... And kept saying that he could only let me drive the spec that I wanted, which they didn't even have at the dealership.
He went to ask the manager to see if they could make an exception, yet came back and said "Sorry our manager wouldn't allow it. But I can open the car if you want to look at it".
I laughed and literally just left. I understand that dealerships are picky with test driving limited and exotic cars, but a pre-owned Miata?! What a joke. I can go to an Audi dealership and test drive an S3 AND RS3 new and you wouldn't let me try the USED Miata, unbelievable.
Take your business elsewhere, because what you discuss on the phone might be completely different from what they say in person once you are there.

My favorite dealership. Just left today and Armond in your service department is incredibly professional and kind. Just prior to helping me I saw another customer giving him a hard time. Give him a raise! He handled it with grace.

Drove 2 hours and 50 mins for the BEST experience I could’ve ever had for my first big purchase. The honesty and transparency that Johnny and his whole team had left me in awe and happier than ever in my new CX-5. Johnny helped guide me through the entire process and was the most stand out salesman I’ve ever met. After my awful experience at a previous dealer I’ll only recommend people to Star Mazda! So in love with my car! ?

I made an appointment to get my oil changed at 1:20… received the inspection video around 2:50 so I assumed I would be getting a call soon about my car being ready… I call at 4:11 to check in because it’s been hours and they rush me off the phone saying “it’s almost done he will call you back”. They close at 5:30 …. 5 pm comes around and nothing so I hard back to the dealership and I’m standing there waiting around not a single person wants to acknowledge me or help me except for one man that didn’t work in the service department and interrupted his own phone call to help. He directs me to the manager inside and they ask who helped me today and say “if the keys and paper work are not here he’s not done”. I had to continue to stand my ground and ask for this to be figured out because the manager was saying he couldn’t help me and to come back tomorrow morning. I refused to leave my car overnight for a simple oil change. I had to walk out of the dealership back to the service garage to point at my car and say “that is my car and I’m taking it somewhere else before they close” that is when they finally realized I wasn’t just going to sit and be complacent. They apparently had to call their director to ensure the car was ready. I also have a prepaid service that they apparently didn’t know about and proceed to tell me to comeback for the payment and paperwork and I told them it’s already paid for and he gave me my keys with no problem after that… all of it poorly handled. I have never had this happen at a different Mazda and would never come back to this location. They said to come back to get the car detailed since it’s included with services and I absolutely will not be doing that. So I can wait around 4-5 hours and potentially not get my car back? No thank you.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Shop anywhere else but here, other Mazda dealerships in the city will treat you much better. they are completely unprofessional, and they will waste your time. I and my fiancé bought a CERTIFIED -PREOWNED 2023 vehicle from here with 4000 miles, discovered an issue, and brought it in 2 days after purchase. it's now been 3 months, and they are ignoring my calls. I have shown goodwill and brought them another 75k deal. I talked to both service (Lalo Garcia) and sales managers (John) who were respectful but failed to do anything about the issue. I mentioned multiple times that I'd be okay with a loner, and they can keep the car for a month, if need be, as long as they can resolve this issue, but it's been 3 months and we're still in the same spot. and now I am stuck with a faulty, falsely advertised car that mind you, still has its warranty, and Certified Preowned warranty buy Star Mazda will do nothing to resolve their mistake. Shop anywhere else even if it will cost you more. HORRIBLE experience.

DO NOT EVEN THINK OF SHOPPING/SERVICING here.Horrible Experience, we bought a certified preowned car here in May we worked really hard to maintain good faith with the dealership and we even brought them more business after we purchased our vehicle. we were choosing between this car and a brand-new one, but we ended up going with it because it had a Bose system which we liked. after purchase, we discovered that the system was faulty, and we brought the car back 4 times as of today. we spoke with both the sales and service manager who were respectful but were still reluctant to do anything and we are now being ghosted every time we try to call them. They will waste your time, and you will be entering into a huge unnecessary hassle each step of the way. ANY OTHER MAZDA in LA will treat you better. avoid it no matter what, YOU WILL REGRET IT

There is a reason they are the lowest rated Mazda dealer in the area.
Bad experience when I bought my CX5. The sales associate was disrespectful and made personal comments instead of providing information about the vehicle. Asked me to sign a blank piece of paper before he could provide more information during discussions.
Then he lied about my credit score to sell their higher interest loan ( to get a cut from the bank).
Lied about accessories like wheel locks to saying they were already on the vehicle and couldn't be taken off, then handed them over to me after the sale.
The dealership is lying again in the response to this review. I have been to the dealership twice for an oil change and battery replacement under warranty. Additionally, the interest rate offered by the dealership was 1.5% points higher than what I got outside.
And finally, I did call them on Jun 17 at 1:23 PM and left a VM about the issue. They didn't bother to follow up in over a month.
