Coming from San Diego and finding a hair stylist in the LA area was not easy but luckily I was referred by a family member to Rosey at Mastery Of Hair in Glendale. Once I arrived, received a consultation by Rosey all my doubts were gone. She not only provided several options on color but also suggested new hair styles that would look great on me. I am a true believer of her Mastery of hair after my appointment. I am beyond excited to go back to her on my next hair cut which is soon. I have been referring family and friends to stop by to experience the magic Rosey provides. She truly is wonderful and it's magnificent how she can transform 'you' to be the best version of yourself. Thank you again Rosey for the wonderful experience.

Rosey is a true artist! It matters to her how you feel about your hair and I appreciate her effort and perfection. She's up-to-date on the newest techniques and when she speaks it's clear she knows what she's doing. Many hairstylist are great at what they know and tend to push the techniques they are best at even if it's not what the client really wants but to Rosey it's important to get the big picture of what is wanted and she will make it happen. Outside of her to seek abilities she's extremely personable and I enjoy my time with her when I am in her chair. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a hairstylist! :)

Rosey gave me a great haircut. I sometimes get a cut that looks boxy or doesn't blend well. I explained what I wanted and Rosey did a great job blending and shaping my hair. I'll definitely be back for my next cut.

So I'm really picky about my hair, but my regular stylist moved out of state! My friend recommended me to her stylist Rosey Ibarra, and she is amazing! She totally nailed my pre-covid-quarantine color and highlights FLAWLESSLY! I feel like a human again thanks to her. Consider me a repeat customer!Also, the suites are really modern and clean, and I feel totally safe getting my hair done there. It's by appointment only so there's not people waiting in the hallways and stuff, and we both more masks when Rosey was working on me. And when I got there, I waited in my car in the free underground parking, and just texted her to let her know I arrived. Then she came out to greet me and we walked to her suite. Like I said, very covid-conscious which makes me super happy.

Update: I received a letter from Rosey Ibarra's lawyer stating either walk away from your $600+ deposit, or we will pursue monies owed in back rent during the initial closures of the COVID-19 pandemic, and over $1,300 due for her claim that I broke my lease with her. She had asked if I would like to leave my lease early, ( June 1st instead of June 27th the original date) I agreed and proceeded to remove the remainder of my possessions out by the first. She then claimed I broke my lease. She gave rent relief to everyone else renting at the suites during this time, however excluding myself and a fellow renter because we were no longer intending to continue leasing from her after June 27th. To my knowledge she is the only salon suite owner who has asked for lessors to pay rent during a MANDATORY STATE CLOSURE. You can decide for yourself if you want to do business with a property management company like Ronor Leasing. Some of the other reviews that have been implored since my original review are on par with her bully tactics.

I would like to start off by saying Thank You Rosey and Norbert for being the most compassionate, kind hearted, supportive and generous human beings in my life! I have now been a part of your Suite family for over 5 years and it has been my privilege to have you both in my professional life. Your motivation, mentoring and genuineness for the success of others is so admirable and real. You both are truly a mastermind for creating this charming space that allows and makes small business owners dream come true! Oh and can't forget to mention the Salons positive energy, cleanliness and good fortune felt everywhere from the moment you walk in through the doors:)) I am so grateful for Social Salon Suites for helping me grow and succeed as a business owner. I have had the pleasure of working with and also renting from Rosey. YES, Rosey is a property manager but don't forget she is also a licensed cosmetologist and has been for 20+ years. She also is a salon owner and suite renter herself and continues to works behind the chair. Rosey not only provides an amazing space for us to create at Social Salon Suites but ALSO generously shares, mentors, and coaches her renters and fellow stylist her vast knowledge of tools and goal setting techniques to build a successful personal suite business. Her wealth in understanding the challenges in all facets of the Industry speaks volumes. NEVER down someone who ultimately has the same goals set for themselves as their peers....success, happiness and abundance!!! As artists, we have to understand that life is subjective and everyone is going to have their own perspectives and opinions. Any stylist or beauty professional to throw another peer under the bus for being on the front line advocating for the whole CA beauty industry and being OUR voice to reopen OUR salons during this pandemic is absolutely absurd and disgusting. Would the situation look any different if a landlord (of a commercial business) or regular stylist (of non-ownership) went to bat advocating for stylist??? At the end of the day, Business is Business and we all have to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. These last 6 months have been tumultuous enough for everyone!!! Weather you had to pay OR didn't have to pay the rent on your suite during the pandemic closure, the rent for the building still had to be paid no matter what. She didn't even charge rent for almost 6 months to her tenants whose businesses were closed!! It's all a trickle down effect so before anyone points the finger, take a long hard look at yourself and ask yourself... "did I use the tools and knowledge given to me to build a successful business"? When YOU, as an individual decided to open your own business and sign on that dotted line you have to understand there is accountability to your own success or demise.

Had a haircut here before they had to close again. But they were really great! Temperature check and hand sanitizer right at the entrance, and the barber wore a mask the whole time, definitely appreciated it!

LEASERS BEWARE!! I am approaching my one year of leasing here and let me tell you, it's been a bit disappointing. Upon touring social salon suites I was so excited to move in. I wanted a nice atmosphere to offer my clients. This place is extremely nice, from the bathrooms to the hallways every suite is exceptional. Not until I moved in I realize what a mistake. The Armenians here are EXTREMELY PREJUDICE and rude. If you're black don't even bother coming here (I'm black). I was poorly treated by them and told by the property manager at the time that's it's because they're "Leary" of "dark skinned" people. Wow. They stare at me and my clients until we are out of range without speaking. They'll stare, then start speaking in their native tongue about you. After 8months of being here finally Marine(Armenian esthetician) spoke to me. She said at the end of the conversation "wow, it's good to see you're a good person" what does that mean??? Once you ask for things to be done in your suite, you'll see that no one could care and Norbert(owner) will never get to it. I've asked Rosey(owner) personally to have something hung in my room last May and it's still not done. I've asked severely times. Rosey promptly fired the property manager and has failed to replace/fill her position and is no inconveniencing other business owners here. It took 5 days to retrieve my mail from the mailbox because it was an inconvenience for Rosey or her husband to do. The mailbox had been overflowing when I went and checked it. Hadn't been checked in a while. All the things they offer on the tour is not a real offer. They don't "check in" they don't help you gain or retain clients #falseadvertising. They tricked a few people this way and locked them in a lease they couldn't afford because they have no clients. For the price we pay for these suites I expect nothing but the best at all times. God forbids Rosey gets sick, like her most recent run in with pneumonia. Her whole business paused because "Tatiana I'm sick". We all get sick. Trust me I know, business still goes on. Rosey is undermining with the way she speaks to people and money hungry. (My opinion) I've heard things about her belittling the other suite mates and not providing the things she said she would when they signed the lease. When asked about it she responded "is it in your contract?" So just make sure the things she promise is in the contract!! She'll say they offer things like mail then when you want your mail the day it arrives she'll say "it's a courtesy to receive mail" these suites are in the $1000+ price range. My small 109sqft suite is $1900. For that price the customer service here is very shitty!! Nothing I've asked was ever done to my suite. Oh they "chocked" my AC 4 months after being asked because it gets below zero in the suites. #icebox I told them with it being so cold it compromises my health, they suggested I buy a heater. If you like being treated like this AFTER you sign your lease then this is the place for you . I'm including a conversation between me and Rosey and her terminating my lease early. Not sure if they posted in ordTHANK GOD !! I prayed for this. hope this review helped. A REAL HONEST REVIEW AFTER ONE YEAR OF LEASING HERE. Rosey walks in suites without asking permission!!!! Wow DISCLAIMER *** I have NEVER felt racism/prejudice from Rosey or Norbert. Condescending, yes inconsiderate yes money hungry. Still has yet to refund my deposit 2 months... STILL NO DEPOSIT ITS OCTOBER
