Hours: Hotel Xilo Glendale is a good enough, inexpensive hotel offering a great bargain for the money. The hotel has a motel format with two open floors where rooms open directly to the outside, overlooking the parking lot and pool, which many find convenient. The interiors are described as very nice, clean, and modern, with rooms that are a lot nicer than some other higher-rated hotels. Furniture is nice and rooms offer plenty of lighting and outlets. Experiences with cleanliness vary; some guests found rooms very clean and smelling fresh, while others noted rooms are not very clean, with a recurring issue of bathroom flooding during showers. Some guests mention a smell, akin to an old town, that airing out the room resolves. The beds are extremely comfortable, often exceeding expectations, and bathrooms feature walk-in showers, some with both a typical and a waterfall shower head providing very hot, amazing relaxing water. Amenities are pretty basic, including a standard pool, a small gym, and a limited continental breakfast. There is inexpensive parking centrally located. The hotel has no elevators, with first and second floor rooms accessed by stairs. Its location is a highlight, being centrally located and close to front desk for security, with nearby shopping and eating options, including two enormous shopping malls blocks away. Despite being beside a fairly big street, rooms are quiet. Service is friendly, efficient, and informative. For the price, there are tradeoffs, but many find it a pleasant surprise and a really good deal, with some guests wishing it was in all the cities they travel to.
