Brought my BMW M3 that I have been driving with zero problems over to Highland Automotive for a routine oil change. When Romel wrote up my bill it stated that I have a slight oil leak and check engine light (which was correct – that is why I took it here in the first place).Once I sat down inside of my car, I noticed an additional light that was not on before my car was dropped off so naturally, I asked what the EML light indicated. Romel responded aggressively as if I was accusing him of the light, while I was just asking why the light wasn’t on earlier and now it is on. Pretty valid question right? He began yelling at me that I am claiming he triggered the light on purpose and this was all part of my “plan”? I was simply trying to ask (who I thought to be a professional mechanic that I am paying) why this would happen. You'd figure someone with an extensive understanding of cars would try to help figure out if potentially something was disconnected during service and come up with a solution. He started yelling at me and walking away from me while I was trying ask what to do get rid of the light. He told me instead that BMW doesn’t have a check engine light and then went to tell me to never bring any business to him and said “take your stupid piece of s**t BMW off my property." Secondly the oil change was $150 for a 3liter car. If you want your tires rotated, he’s really good at that. Not the mechanic type though. Mind you, my company down the street sends multiple cars to this shop so I am just appalled at the disrespect I received and unprofessionalism of Romel at Highland Automotive. (We have used him more than 10 times, this isn't a once in a lifetime occurrence)Service: Oil change

Honestly, I haven't felt as safe in any other auto shop compared to Highland Automotive. Romel took great care of my car and spoke to me honestly about any problems and didn't hide the costs with hidden fees or other nonsense. He is straightforward, honest, and hardworking.
Other places would only use their machines with sensors to find problems with your engine, but Romel did the complete A-Z checkup and pinpointed the part I would need to change to pass a smog test for my 2001 Sienna.
For those that complain about the price, just know this- you get what you pay for. And with Romel, he WILL take care of you and your car.

Squeezed a pre-purchase inspection in last minute before the long weekend. Romel was very friendly and helpful.

Fair prices with honest hard work just can't go wrong. I dropped in my car that had the engine light on, and multiple shops told me mixed answers they gor from doing a surface check along with the reader. This shop told me I would need to pay for a check, but that they would correctly identify exactly what was wrong along with the price of the inspection waived if I decided to get it fixed there. I was short on funds, but I trusted the mechanic- and I don't regret anything. He used original parts, got my old 2001 Sienna to run fine again, and even did the smog check that I needed for me. Best customer service, and I sure am going back there again! Again- prices are fair, and the mechanic does honest work. No blindsiding with hidden fees, and will regularly keep you updated on what he finds.

I am so grateful I went here for my brake and light inspection. I called around 3:30pm just before the technician was about to leave (he leaves early on Mondays) and he was kind enough to wait until I arrived. The inspection cost $83 and the certificate was $7. I also needed to replace one of the brake bulbs which cost $15, so overall I paid a total $105. I'd say that's a pretty fair price considering how quick and efficient the technician was! Thanks to his help, my car passed the inspection. Needless to say, I truly recommend going here and will definitely come back in the future.

Awesome shop to service your car and buy tires. Every other mechanic I've been to just adds bs on each repair. Romel from Highland Automotive tells you what you need, and what you don't. Trustworthy A+ from me.
