I used to love coming here.. It’s not as clean and organized as it used to be… Also the prices are nuts.. it’s best to come on a Thursday or find specific tags of the week…

This Goodwill locations USED to be such a beautiful boutique-like experience maintained by conscience, customer oriented employees who displayed the items beautifully on the shelfs, even color coordinating for the most part. Quality items for sale USED to be the primary items on the shelfs. As a regular customer, I looked forward to my treasure hunts and thus paid the higher prices. Now, this location looks and smells like the average swap meet type Goodwill except with outrageous retail or above retail prices for mostly ordinary items and different employees who appear not to give much credence to decor or customer oriented service. For this last entire year, I given it a chance since the location is on my walking route, but each time I am in and out of there in under 3 minutes, literallly. Where are all the treasures typically donated by La Canada and Montrose residents?

Really tiny thrift store but was greeted with a big smile and welcome, and walked out with 2 books 1 minute later.

Very few books. This goodwill is mostly a donation center. There are only a few books and a small merchandise area. The items in the shop are high-quality and the people are friendly. The only small complaint that I have about the shop is that the books are arranged by color. While this is a visually pleasing choice, it makes it almost impossible to find a book.

Super sad. This location removed 90 percent of the books plus all children's toys and books. It's now a boutique that reminds me of TJ Maxx. Big fail Goodwill. We came for the BOOKS!

Very small Goodwill location, with parking lot in front. Pretty clean, well organized, but it's more like a donation center. We wanted to check it out because they called it a Bookstore, but it's far from that, just a few shelves with some books, nothing special. Not a lot of merchandise in general. We were in and out pretty fast, prices are a tad high. Is it me, or Goodwill is trying to pretend they're not a thrift store anymore? They try to decorate and pretend like they are a regular store and it's nothing wrong with being a regular thrift store. Except that they charge more!

Price gouging GALORE. If you're into clothes with stains and holes that have annoying edges this is the place for you. The fact that this is USED CRAP that is crazy expensive should cause them to feel shame. Perhaps they're too asleep to know what gouging poor people is supposed take you feel like.

This teeny-tiny Goodwill location was formerly one of several dedicated exclusively for books. Unfortunately, GWSoCal gave up on that concept a few years ago. So, even though this space is about 1/2 the size of the Subway just up the street, they have a little bit of everything (accent on 'little'.) Kudos to the manager and staff of this Montrose mini store. All the walls are merchandised by color- even the books are organized by color! This makes for an attractive, attention getting visual statement you will not find in any other LA area Goodwill: unless the person who had this brilliant idea is promoted and sent to apply this genius colorization around town. I purposely did not take a pic as you need to experience this yourself. Oh yes, the staff on 1/22/22 immediately greeted me with what tag discounts were in place. The shop was as clean as a whistle.

This used to be a great Goodwill simply because they would sort books by subject. I'd go once a month, and you could usually count on finding something interesting in print, video, it even games. The last time I went, they got rid of most of their media, especially books. So it's pretty much just good if it's close for you to donate to.

I love this goodwill. With all the other Goodwill's shut down because they have too many donations, this goodwill remains of them. The only gripe I have is that they don't let the public use their restrooms because "Coronavirus ". Global pandemic or not, people still have to pee.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a Goodwill bookstore. I was even happier to find a bunch of books I've been wanting. I saved so much money buying used books here! I took my time browsing and walked away with some great finds. The books were in good condition and some looked new.

Goodwill is always a fantastic, and cheap, place to find cute clothes, and new books
