“I always like it when I have the opportunity to stay here when visiting Sonoma and the surrounding area. The rooms are a great combination of quaint and rustic. Also the surrounding neighborhood has cool places like the French bakery and the Jack London Saloon.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights at Sonoma Bungalows! Valerie was an amazing help with recommendations for wineries and restaurants and she made many reservations for us. Basically planned and scheduled our entire trip. The bungalows are so comfortable and it was a perfect experience! We will be back.”

“The Harvest Inn exceeded all of our expectations. The location is absolutely stunning, nestled right in the heart of Napa Valley's wine country with beautiful vineyard views. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had a charming, rustic elegance that really captures the essence of the region. The grounds are immaculately maintained, making it a pleasure to stroll through the property. I'm not sure what the other negative reviewers are talking about. We had room 124, and it was clean, and we had no noise issues whatsoever on the property -- cars were not a problem, nor were the other guests.

The staff was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure we had an unforgettable stay. From the delicious breakfast to the relaxing pool area, every detail was thoughtfully considered. We particularly enjoyed the adjacent vineyard to the back of the property, so cool! The proximity to local wineries and the short drive into downtown St. Helena made it a perfect base for exploring the area.

Overall, our experience was exceptional, and we can't wait to return for another peaceful escape in wine country. Highly recommend!”

“Amazing hotel and experience. The location is perfect to walk anywhere. They have their own private parking in the back and tons of wineries close by or tasting rooms right in town. The decor is traditional and cozy. Transforms you to another time. The fireplace in the room was so relaxing after a long day out and about. While the hotel is in the main center of the city and rooms are all on the second floor, the hotel splurged for thick doors and seals for a quiet nights rest. The service is also great. Very clear and set proper expectations. They offer a free tasting either on site or at their property in Kenwood. GO TO the winery in Kenwood!! It was such a beautiful property and the wine is amazing. Will definitely stay here again.”

“I would have given 5 stars had the mattress been of higher quality, but great location and amenities. The free breakfast was amazing! Forget everything you know about a free hotel breakfast - this was a gourmet breakfast most mornings. Free wine and cheese sampling every night was also great. Close to everything. No mini fridge in the room was a bit of a let down.”

“A great location as a base for exploring the vineyards of Sonoma and Napa. Rooms are rustic and basic. Bring your own toiletries. There is no daily housekeeping, you make your own bed. But you can get fresh towels from the front desk. Front desk is only open from 9am to 5pm. Late check in is possible through a locked box that is accessible by key code. Car parking is free and ample. Kudos to the team for finding a ring that my sister left behind and sending it by Uber to our hotel in San Francisco after we have check out.”

“This Hampton Inn is usually pricy at $200+ a night on most weekends, but a recent Sunday night set me back a more reasonable $150. I'm usually at the Best Western for $120 or less :)

PROs:
-Reasonable weekday pricing
-Friendly staff
-Spacious, clean, modern rooms and bathrooms
-Free Parking
-Quiet location
-Short drive/Cheap Uber & Lyft into downtown
-Decent breakfast included, with eggs and bacon

CONs:
-Expensive on weekends!
-No pool or jacuzzi
-Nothing worthwhile in walking distance.

I'd likely stay here again for the right price.”

“Can't go wrong with a BW
|but the the breakfast area is way too small for the size of the place

Food & drinks: breakfast area is part of restaurant on the property but they use a really small part of it for the breakfast, get there early of consider other options”

“Had the chance to stop in for a tasting a bit ago and was impressed to be honest. Out of all the years I have resided, I have actually never stepped into this hotel, so actually was excited to see the inside. Lets just say it did not disappoint and really matches the general aesthetics of the rest of the Sonoma square. Fast forward to the tasting, a standard format of regional wines most are accustomed to seeing. Price point for all of them were on point, so no complaints there, but the tasting was a little higher than most around on the square, but then again you are downtown, so there is that. Overall I enjoyed all of the wine, but opted to not try the Chardonnay due to not being an overall fan of the varietal. Host was extremely generous as well, so three cheers on that front. Top it off with a ton of food options nearby and it makes it an easy choice for future visits or other first timers.”

“Looks like a nice, relaxing, homelylike, clean & serene place to spend some relaxation time. It's a quiet place walking distance from the tourist area at the Square downtown. It's beautiful and clean.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a more stunning and magical location than MacArthur Place for our destination wedding in Sonoma, CA!

Not only is the venue beautiful, but the staff was exceptional. They were incredibly accommodating and worked closely with us, making sure every detail was handled with care. They were flexible, supportive, and truly invested in making our wedding day flawless. We couldn’t have done it without their hospitality.

We also highly recommend working with Alyssa Bray-Events, who helped us bring our vision to life and made the entire process stress-free. They worked seamlessly with the venue to ensure every detail was perfect. In addition, Alicia Parks Photography was incredible at capturing the beauty of the venue and the joy of the day, creating memories we will cherish forever.

If you're looking for a wedding venue in Sonoma with an amazing team behind it, MacArthur Place is absolutely the place. We are so grateful to have had our wedding here, and it was truly the best day of our lives!”

“Relatively close to Sonoma, wineries and other points of interest, this new property is clean, up-to-date, and affordable. Brand new! I'm thankful for their decision to put carpet in the rooms instead of the laminate flooring that so many other properties have been going with lately.

EV chargers available.

My only complaint is that there was no bistro service at all, the night I checked in. No restraunts within walking distance.”

“Stayed 3 nights in July in a king, second floor room. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Tub and shower were clean and operating well with good water flow and hot water supply. Breakfast was good, with enough options to provide variety in a 3-night stay. Pool and hot tub were smallish, but suitable for the number of guests using them. Check in and out were quick.

My only complaint was that there was considerable road noise in the room at times. We were in a room near the Redwood/McDowell intersection, which seemed to function as a bit of a racetrack. Didn’t seem to bother my wife, but it did affect my sleep to some extent. Rooms on the other side of the building probably wouldn’t experience this. Overall, I would rate this hotel 9 out 10.”

“Everything was nice enough, but was shocked by the price, probably the most expensive Sheraton I’ve ever stayed at (and I’ll put out for context, I’ve spent >350 lifetime nights at various Marriott properties for work& vacation). Not bad, just not worth $400 /night

Walkability: Not walkable, surrounded by highway

Food & drinks: Restaurant open for dinner. Shop with some snacks, coffee, and wine that is intermittently staffed (but has more extensive wine selection than most!)”
