If you need to have a car smog certificate, this is the place to go. This is small shop and run and operated by the owner Richard who does it all. He is honest, very well spoken and thoroughly describes the process. He is observant and meticulous with his work. We called and he got us right in. The whole process took approximately 15 minutes. Prices are reasonable. It is always nice to have wonderful service locally without having to leave town. Be sure to check it out!

I had previously gone to South County Smog Test Center in Gilroy but when I called about getting smog tested for an out of state car they said they were too busy to see me that day. I was a bit put off because I had a DMV appointment scheduled for the next morning and I had to find a place that could test the car that day. Thankfully I found Aiden’s Smog Center AKA Old Town Smog. I had no wait, an exceptional customer service experience and am looking forward to the next time my car needs a smog test. The owner Richard is knowledgeable and fabulous! I’ve never left a review before so that says a lot.

This place may have been great but I waited in the front parking lot for quite a bit after they supposed to have opened and the gates were still closed. Ended up going somewhere else because I couldn't wait any longer for them to open late, if they even showed up.Edit to add its currently 10am, 30 minutes pasy when they were supposed to open. This is a new business operating in an established location that previously offered smog checks as well. The new business is now known as Aiden's smog check.Aiden is a very smart individual who knows how to get a car passed legally, quickly, and efficiently. His price is also below his competition nearby which is doubly awesome. I will return here for smog checks for as long as I live in Gilroy. I highly recommend his smog shop.
