We came half an hour before they closed, and the staff couldn’t wait to have us out. They were quite rude so we decided not to buy anything from them because there’s enough choice around not to waste money on that store.

The store and the associates were super nice and friendly and the store was super clean so I was really impressed by that I used to work for JCrew for about five years in a different location and they definitely made it very clean and the standards were great. I really like that the inside associates were friendly and nice.

Superior customer service in the store, excellent clothes quality, online order quick and easy. I wish they would have more selection of bigger sizes but it's fine. I'm able to find some nice pieces there.

Beware of this website, as they allow you to use promo codes, but then remove them after you pay. I placed an order, applied a promo code, was prompted for my credit card showing the discount, paid and placed the order. However, the confirmation that came shortly after had removed the discount and the order was placed for the regular price. Thankfully, I noticed it and was able to cancel. The "chat" experience to cancel was satisfactory and my order was canceled immediately, but I'm still disappointed that the discount was initially accepted but then removed after payment.

I like the brick and mortar stores, especially the one in Winston Salem. It's a clean store with friendly staff and reasonable prices. However, I gave J. Crew Factory a 2 star review because ordering online is a very disappointing experience. Customer service is terrible, and the website seems to show that things are in stock that are not. Here is what happened to me: I attempted to order a dress, sweater, and turtleneck. All three appeared in my shopping bag. I submitted my order and then got a "Thank You" note with an order number. 2-3 hours later, I noticed that my order had an error. It was missing the dress, which is what I really wanted. There was absolutely no information in the order or online regarding how to cancel the order or to get help in figuring out what had happened to the dress. Furthermore, I'd been charged shipping even though I had a J Crew rewards card, the benefits of which list "free standard shipping." Anyhow, I finally connected with someone (or a Bot) on the Live Chat, and basically, J Crew wouldn't work with me at all. They said it was too late to cancel the order even though it was still just being processed and had not shipped or anything! Then they would not refund me the $5 shipping even though my information was in their system and they'd found my rewards account. They said that I could return everything and they'd waive the $5 return shipping fee, but I had already told them I was just going to return it to our local store. So that was an empty offer. Anyhow, I think I was talking to a "bot" because every message started in the exact same way and didn't seem like a real person. Anyhow, this was literally just about the worst customer service I've ever had with retail store. Now I've wasted time and money and will have to go out during a pandemic to return things to the real store. I've ordered online from other places like Belk, QVC, and Talbots, and they go out of their way to work with you if something is wrong with your order. I won't be ordering from J Crew Factory again! If I do shop there again, it will only be in the brick and mortar stores. As I've read through other reviews, it seems that dreadful customer service and errors in orders are two recurring themes with this retailer. What a shame because they do have some lovely clothes and jewelry! But no more online ordering for me.

The men's section is fairly small but you can get all your staple pieces here. The outlet pricing and the outlet sales can make it a worthwhile trip if you're planning on get anything J Crew. It can be a little hard to find the sizes you want and you may have to do some digging. The customer service was non-existent. I didn't get greeted nor spoken to while I was in this store. Discount prices on J Crew are always good but I've been to better J Crew outlets.

Hello, my name is Michelle Munoz, I received a gift from your j crew factory store without the a gift receipt this past Saturday, 08-11th, today I went to your Gilroy Factory store and ask for help... I couldn't even finish the sentence and she just said: " I can't do anything without the receipt, I'm the manger of the store". I understand the intention of inventory control or whatever but I do not understand that we as clients have to deal with the lack of control that you have and of course with the lack of criteria of your manager. May be you can't understand how the market is changing and if you are betting in managing the service of your stores (even though a factory store) with a person that have a 100 year old vision of how to deal with such a simple issue, you will certainly close a lot of your retail stores. I am only one client that occasionally buys at this store, I will not buy from you again anymore just because of the way I was treated. One star just to be able to up load the review...
