My experience at Hyundai in Gilroy was terrible.We were left without service for more than 25 minutes.We initially spoke to someone who passed the case on to a salesperson, we waited and waited and left due to lack of service. This conduct by the establishment is embarrassing. I will not return to Hyundai in Gilroy, and I hope a general manager is aware of this lack of commitment to us who could become customers.We find it a lack of respect, consideration and interest.I do not recommend Hyundai of Gilroy to anyone!

Just got a new Elantra, Noah and Jacob were very helpful and informative. Great low pressure environment. Chris helped get me a great deal. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. One last thing was the process was super quick. I was very surprised.

9-2023 recall for 2022 Kona EV.
Dealer couldn't estimate repair time so I was given a loaner from Hertz- no charge per work order. Work completed, loaner returned next day.
8 months later, 5-2024 I saw a $44.78 charge on credit card from Hertz. Could not reach anyone at Hertz and assumed it was fraud. Credit Union reversed charge.
4 days later get a collection letter from Hertz saying Hyundai Gilroy did not pay Hertz for loaner and per rental "loaner" agreement I was responsible. I paid Hertz and for the last 2 months have attempted to get repaid from Hyundai who initially said a "check was sent out" but didn't say to who or when. Hertz says they have not received payment from Hyundai.
Other than 3 emails and 1 phone call in May from Chad Herrera, who claimed it wasn't even his job to deal with this issue, Hyundai Gilroy has not made any further contact with me.
I have left dozens of messages and sent at least 10 other emails with zero response.
Hyundai Gilroy has an "F" rating with the BBB and is not accredited.
While I am still thrilled with the Kona EV, I will NOT be returning to do business with this company.
You should find another place to buy your car.
7-26-2024 update
After 3 weeks of calls and emails with Hyundai Motors National Consumer Affairs rep named "Honesty" (??????????)
Received a check for amount owed MINUS TAX saying payment was goodwill gesture. (????????)
Then an email saying all dealerships are owned locally and in the future if there are issues to contact..... Yup, you guessed it.... Hyundai Gilroy.
Will get rid of this vehicle at end of year.
Wantno part of the stench.

The sales guy was arrogant and rude. He was fresh out of high school and acted like he was stoned. He even texted me the next day and told me that I was very inconsiderate showing up close to closing time but he was still willing to overlook it and help me buy a car anyway. Can you belive it? I will never ever shop here again!

Be careful with purchasing the auto butler from them — they do not disclose that you have to get it done there. I’d recommend skipping the packages from them all together.

My husband and I recently had an outstanding experience with a car representative (Jacob Salcido), He exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we walked into the dealership's lot, he kindly approached us and he was not very pushy at all! He showed us all the cars that we wanted to check out for our daughter, Jacob was very attentive, knowledgeable, and GENUINELY interested in helping us get find the perfect DEAL! Jacob took the time to understand our needs esp safety features for our daughter, He patiently answered our queries, and provided detailed information about the car features and differences of each trim. What wasn't wrong with my experience?
I went in in January to purchase an Elantra hybrid, and I received it.
As for the negatives: they insisted on running a hard pull on my credit for a vehicle that was being paid for in full, the guy who handled the paperwork spent a solid 20 minutes trying to sell me a maintenance plan that would have me to drive 60 miles round trip every time I needed an oil change, the car only came with one key fob and was missing the key card that it was supposed to have, and they tried to screw me on my trade in.

My only experience here was with the parts department and overall it was a great one while the parts person wasn't very experienced she was extremely helpful and polite

BEWARE of Hyundai of Gilroy . . . their website-posted, new car 'DEALS'!!! The details are incomplete, misleading and approaching fraudulent. We drove 3 hours to 'buy' a car, based on the (final) "Estimated Payment" clearly posted on their website and stated, by Rudy the sales rep. on the phone, to be 'Out-The-Door' price. When we arrived, the car we referenced was NOT even on the lot (as we were told), but still in transit (over a week away). When Rudy produced the actual 'deal', the bottom line was increased by over $7,000 — primarily by (mandatory) dealer add-ons (that had not yet even been installed), which is clearly in violation of the latest FTC Rules and Regs. The Rules prohibit dealers from charging for “fraudulent add-on products”, and requires the “Express, Informed Consent” of consumers. No sale was made!!
