Jason Rosales is a good sale representative, he held to get a reasonable of the sale prices to the car and he is very patient and explained detail. He held us to get a car we like. I would recommend he to my friend when they want to buy a car. Thank you!

We were helped by Jason Rosales, who introduced all the available hybrid cars to us. We were able to test drive two different cars, and finally purchase the Venza. Jason was very accommodating, and we had a great experience!

I bought my brand new car!
I had an appointment at this place at 10:30am, but I decided to give it a visit an hour earlier (just to browse around) but they helped me out so nicely and got me to test drive their new cars.
Jose Perez Garcia was so nice, he gave me all breakdowns of pricing and specs of the cars I was interested in, and I really appreciated his help.

Believe the bad reviews, because they have merit and should be strongly considered before you even think of doing business with Freeway Toyota in Gilroy. I contacted them to get a 24' Corolla Cross hybrid XSE. Jonathan said he would sell if for MSRP and mentioned a bunch of markups. I told him, I wasn't interested in any of it. It's just over $40k (including tax) for budget hybrid, so I wouldn't exactly say it's a cheap car. First, Jonathan the salesman said the 2 arriving at the dealer were sold, but they only did that internally on the system so they couldn't be traded away to another dealer (yeah, right). While discussing a specific stock number vehicle, (which I drove an hour and a half to specifically put a deposit on), he oddly asked me if I wanted a different car. I said "no" and thought it was a strange thing to say. He then he continued on with his high-pressure sales pitch, jacking up the price $4k for undercoating or unnecessary service plans (BTW, new Toyotas come with 2 years of service at no charge). At the end of his spiel and several back and forths to the sales mgr., when I declined their mark ups and got up to leave, Gilbert the sales manager on duty then comes over. He tried the hard sell again and I said "forget it, I'll find another dealer" . After he tries asking what numbers can get us to a deal; finally, he said "do we have a deal at MSRP and stuck his hand out". In that moment, I somehow knew he was not being genuine, but shook his hand anyway. Another red flag was when I asked to leave a deposit to secure it before leaving and the main reason I drove down there during rush hour traffic, but he said I didn't need to. Before leaving, he handed me a printout of the deal we agreed to with no stock number of the car in question. Since there was nothing in writing, I kind of knew he was not being serious, but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Jonathan originally told me it was supposed to arrive that very day or soon (yeah, right) and it was allegedly in transit. I waited a week or so, texted Jonathan and no reply. Texted him again and called his number. No response. Ghosted. I asked to speak with a sales manager and Oscar said the car was still mine, that the deal was still on. Even after speaking with him, I still felt like he was being disingenuous. I waited another week and asked for a sales manager again. I ended up speaking with salesman Mike Vigil and told him I just wanted to know if the car was really in transit or sold. Since it was shipping from Alabama, it should have arrived already. As soon as I mentioned the model of car in question, he then goes into how hard they are to get and how they are marked up as a result of that. Obviously, I knew they were being marked up by some dealers in the bay area, who try to use the old supply and demand tactics to justify hiking the price up $3-5k. He said he would find out what was going on. He called me later in the day to tell me it was sold. While I appreciate someone/anyone from Freeway Toyota being candid or honest with me, I feel completely jerked around. My question for the GM or owner of this dealership is, does your sales staff have any integrity whatsoever? If someone wants to leave after not finding common ground with a salesman on price, what can be gained by shaking their hand and providing false promises of a deal with a potential customer? Just let them leave and that would be the end of it. I guess they would have never called me and would have left me hanging indefinitely, if I didn't keep calling. I'm pretty livid with all involved, for completely and needlessly wasting my time. I could sense from beginning to end that they weren't being strait with me and I was absolutely right. Now, after 2 weeks of my time being wasted waiting and the potential of reserving another one at a closer/better dealer gone, I have to restart the search. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid any disappointment or frustration by looking elsewhere for a vehicle.
